Our family rode the camels to the Sounds of Silence dinner in Uluru and we could not have had a better time. Yes, it was expensive but well worth every penny. It added to the whole magical feel of the night. The camels were gentle and we felt safe riding them. Our guides were knowledgeable about these beasts of burden... More

Four of us did the "Camel Express PM" 45 minute camel ride and found it great fun. At $80 a person, not bad value we thought. The camels are all tethered together and as there were only five people doing the ride, we had a camel each. This is far more enjoyable than doing a tandem ride. If you are... More

Our family of four visited Australia from the U.S. for three weeks in July and August, spending two days in Yalara. The camel tour was truly a highlight of our vacation. I was hesitant to book at first because of the steep price for a family of four. But, our philosophy for the trip was that we most likely won't... More

We had the most amazing sunrise camel tour during our stay at Ayers Rock resort. Wade was our cameleer and he was full of interesting facts about camels, the environment, uluru and the local fauna and flora. He was just wonderful and made our experience even more special. Our Camel was Jill and she was so cute (although wriggled around... More

I had to be convinced to ride a camel to our Sounds of Silence. I often have mixed feelings about riding any animal when it does not seem to be their "natural" state. However, these camels are treated exceptionally well from what I could see and seemed to enjoy the experience moving their heads in for a pat like a... More

We didn’t even know there were camels in Australia until we saw the brochure and decided to check them out. We found out that the largest & healthiest population of camels in the world is in the Australian Outback—who knew? My husband and I walked from the Desert Garden Hotel (took about 15-20 min) to the area where the camels... More

Camels are friendly, staff informed, friendly, and entertaining, sights are beautiful. We took the sunrise tour and had a wonderful time. My 82-year old mother was able to ride comfortably, so nothing to feat here, just enjoy.

Booked this as part of the sounds of silence dinner (took camels to dinner site). While the dinner part (separate company, separate review) was not that great, the camel ride was amazing!!
