Completed the 6 day Classic Larapinta with WorldEx. and 15 friends. Friendly & knowledgeable guides (Alice, Paul, Andy, Eric and Will) all with passion, patience and local knowledge; memorable scenery - particularly Mt Sonder and Ormiston Gorge - and excellent food - both in quality and quantity. Overall an experience that will live with us for a long time. It... More

Like many we spent a day travelling out the trail from Alice springs. We saw several of the scenic features along the way out and back to Gosse Bluff (which is quite a sight fron Tylers Lookout by the way). The ormiston Gorge (and its coffee shop) as well as the Ellery big hole are just a couple of the... More

Completed the Larapinta Trail with World Expeditions in August. We did the 6 day "highlights" package over 110km rather than the 14 day 215km full trek. Our thoughts were that 6 days was great and the additional week would have been a lot more of a certain sameness that would have got boring. World expeditions did a great job and... More

I walked the Larapinta Trail end to end (well most of it) with World Expeditions starting 9th August. The trip was generally well run with better than expected food and guides that paced the walk well and had a good knowledge of local flora and fauna. I did get the feeling that we were also in pretty good hands should... More

The guides, Sean, Matt and Jo, on Trek Larapinta's 6 day trek were professional, organized and enthusiastic. Their obvious love and respect for the West Macdonnell Ranges deepened my own. The food was delicious and the tent accommodation was very comfortable. I thoroughly recommend this company.

Walked 3 sections of the trail. Great views, amazing rocks, surprising amount of vegetation. Clearly marked trail and well maintained though very rocky.

Having completed our trek on Friday I am now in the reflection stage! EVERY aspect far surpassed my expectations and I can hardly wait to use this same tour company again. The scenery was magnificent, the degree of difficulty was challenging and our guides, Sean and Wazza....well, second to none. It has all been said before in many reviews but... More

Hello Yeranda, Wow what a ripper review! Trek Larapinta introduced the Super 6 day tour for the first time this year and as you note it is challenging with a reasonable degree of difficulty - it is not for everyone. However, as you mention in your review if you are fit, enthusiastic and wanting a challenge, it just might be... More

Amazing trip. Guides Andrew, Julian and Elise were fantastic. Attentive, caring, fun, and let us all walk and watch at our own pace. Food was wonderful. Landscape to die for. I plan to do more hikes with these people. !!! thank you

A fantastic trip that's both physically challenging and amazingly beautiful. I did the 9 day tour where we hiked some of the choicest sections of the Larapinta Trail as well as Ormiston Pound. We slept in swags, sometimes inside tents and sometimes just in your swag in the dry riverbed listening to the dingo's sing in the wee hours with... More

Hello Maddison L, Wow what a fantastic review, thank you! Trek Larapinta is all about small group trekking on some of the 'choicest sections' of the Larapinta and it seems you liked our style :) The 9 day trek takes in some of the harder sections and as you rightly pointed out, it is physically hard but the rewards are... The guides, Annie and Sean, were quite the best I've ever experienced. The food was creatively excellent and the whole trip was something I'll value for life. I walked end to end and it is a HARD walk. I would never have been able to do it without the support of Trek Larapinta.
