You can just do a few kilometres from the Telegraph Station if you choose… a beautiful safe walk. Bring water in summer. Choose sunrise not twilight

I’ve just returned from a six-day trek with Trek Larapinta on the Larapinta Trail. I cannot speak highly enough of this company and the excellent services they provided during the trek. There were eight trekkers in our group. The food was outstanding and the guides, Holga, a company part-owner, and Jacob, were fantastic with their knowledge of the West McDonnell... More

This was a wonderfully well organised and provisioned trek through some of the spectacular and rugged terrain in the West Macdonnell Ranges. The distances we trekked each day were well suited to our abilities, although I'm sure some could have walked forever. The campsites were well situated off the beaten track and had composting toilets, solar hot water for 'bird... More

My recent hike with Trek Larapinta was wonderful. There were 10 in our group - I am a real novice (in fact this was the first time I had slept in a tent) and others were very experienced trekkers. Our guides Holger and Kate were very aware of the different needs of such a diverse group and looked after us... More

Trek Larapinta's nine day hike in the west MacDonnell Ranges near Alice Springs, NT, was a fantastic experience. We were a group of ten ranging from quite experienced to novice hikers. Holger, co-owner of Trek Larapinta, was a fantastic host and guide. On the trail he was observant of the abilities of everyone and supported them to achieve the walk... More

It was very fortuitous on my part to have booked by chance on the inaugural trek for 'Life's an Adventure', hiking the highlights of the Larapinta Trail. With tour company owner Mark, his dad and staffer Joel leading the way we experienced exceptional service, top notch glamping (much appreciated after a full day of hiking), hot showers, foot baths around... Whilst it is about 5hrs travel to Kings Canyon - do allocate at least 8hrs or stop overnight at Glen Helen to enjoy the many sights and stops.
