An inspirational visit - the highlight of our trip. To see at first hand the work that Brolga does was just brilliant. I never stopped smiling the whole evening especially when I got to hold a very recently rescued joey Indie. Seen the two series on UK TV and read Brolga's book and have to say that in real life... Fantastic opportunity to meet with the larger-than-life and really interesting personality who runs this place - Chris "Brolga" Barnes - also known as Kangaroo Dundee. Get to understand more about kangaroos, their behaviour, about caring for them when orphaned, and how they get released back in to the wild. A really good place for animal and nature lovers to visit.

After looking at all the great reviews on Tripadvisor, I decided to book this trip and am so glad I did. The bus picked us up promptly from the hotel but was full by the time we headed out to the sanctuary. If you are thinking of doing this, make sure you book in advance just in case you miss... More

Brolga was very down to earth and interesting, he was passionate and positive about the lifestyle and his many experiences. An inspiring person doing a lot for kangaroos.

We had seen the Kangaroo Dundee film on BBC and were determined to face the road trip to and from Darwin while there. We were not disappointed in any way. It was just such a full on experience. It did not bother us in the slightest that we did not get to see a joey in the pouch, as mentioned... More

This gentleman is doing a great job of rescuing and caring for stranded or otherwise kangaroos needing care. Working with the barest of resources he has pulled together a life boat for joeys and some kangaroos that would proably not have survived without his assistance. Do your heart and the Sanctuary some good by scheduling an evening visit and perhaps... More

Personal visit with aged Aunt. Brolga was very entertaining and it was wonderful to get close to the kangaroos.

Easy, pleasant and informative walk with Brolga after comfortable deluxe coach ride to Sanctuary. The Sanctuary is clean and the natural environment feels like the kangaroos are treated well. Meeting Roger was a highlight. Thanks

Unique tour of a kangaroo sanctuary. Visitors are encouraged to cuddle baby kangaroos. Lots of great info about kangaroo instincts, habits and what how the average person can provide care for a baby kangaroo. Highly recommended and very easy to get to from Alice Springs.

Visiting Brolga's sanctuary is amazing. You book online or via phone and are picked up by a van at your hotel for a 10 minutes ride. Upon arrival, Brolga comes out and takes the time to say hello to the group and then to each individual, shaking your hand and conversing for a minute. His mission is to educate individuals... More
