Avis, Hertz, Budget, Thrifty, Europcar are all complicit with their hire cars of NOT OFFERING UNLIMITED KMS. Instead only 100 kms a day. Given that it is 450 km to Uluru from Alice Springs I'll leave you to work out how much extra it will cost you to drive there and back. On a four day trip to the red... More

We were lucky enough to have Frosty guide us through cattle stations, explain the history, cattle, fauna and drive up an extremely steep hill (I thought we might tip over). We like to see as much of the area we are staying in as possible, combining history, geography and nature. When I was researching what to do in Alice Springs I was put in touch with Sandra and Leigh who run outback tours.
