This was interesting, especially if you're into trucks. My husband really enjoyed looking at everything.....every single vehicle! The Ghan museum next door was more interesting to me, there were lots of things to look at, old newspapers from the early Ghan days, tickets, dinner menus, old photos and heaps of memorabillia.

So much to see and learn about the early days of outback Australia and how the trucking industry played such an important part. Read the stories about some of the women that worked in the industry and how hard they worked to make sure that peoples goods got delivered. We have always found the story about "Toots" very interesting about... More

This is one of the best assembled road transport or old truck museums in Australia. It includes the Hall of Fame for contributors to the road transport industry as well as many acres of old vehicles, many of which serviced the outback over many years. The "Kenworth" shed sponsored by Kenworth Trucks is also amazing with all conceivable types of... More

For a collection in a desert location, there was a huge variety of vehicles, even some cars. We enjoyed reading about the truck drivers and how the tour guides worked too. Those chains they put on the wheels are really heavy! Outside and further out the back were the big trucks - the kind we saw pulling road trains. Definitely... More

You need to take a bit of time to really appreciate how much there is to do and see here ! Really well set out and so many exhibitions to look at. We finished our time there with a fantastic Devonshire tea in the gardens. A must do !

Lots to see. I wanted to see the lorries and other vehicles, my wife came along! But it was well laid out with lots of extra info showing early days and the people involved. Even she found this interesting.

Really enjoyed this visit, and even found someone I knew in the Hall Of Fame. Signage telling you where everything is would make it a bit easier as there is so much to go through and a really large site.
