Incredible hike to the top.

Climb early in the morning for the sunrise! and take a camera :) Make sure you wear appropriate clothing and take food and water. Let someone know where you are.

It was a great view to see from my daughter's flat, looked imposing against the clear blue sky. It is a very noticeable landmark & helps with working out your bearings.

Fantastic feature of Alice Springs. Wherever you are in the town Mt Gillen is the main feature on the ranges that you see. Beautiful from the top of ANZAC Hill.

Our group ranged in age from 17 to 60 and we all made it to the top. It can be a difficult climb but well worth the effort it took! The views are fantastic. We also came upon Rock Wallabies on our way down. They are so cute! The path is well marked, just take your time and plenty of... More

Hike from Flynn's Grave. Track is easy to follow. Great exercise. The last 10 vertical metres are a little hairy. Enjoy. One of the great outings in the Alice Spring area.

This walk is not easy and requires a good level of fitness, but is highly rewarding. Be aware that conditions can be quite windy and cold in winter, so it's advisable that you take a jumper or jacket, along with plenty of water.

A little hard to find the start of the track since it is not marked for whatever reason, but well worth the effort. The track starts near Flynn's Grave just out of town and is not that difficult except a little scramble towards the top. Great 360 views.

Mt Gillen is popular with locals and tourists. It is unmarked so be sure to take someone who has climbed it before as the last bit of the climb can be a bit off putting if you do not know which way to go. It is steep but very doable. Once you reach the top, continue to walk towards a... More
