This was one of the "The Ghan " excursions things to do whilst in Alice Springs for a short while. We are glad we selected the Camel Ride with these guys. Picked up by James at Alice Springs Railway station. He was as down to earth as they come and a real Aussie bloke. Within 15 minutes we arrived at... More

At Pyndan camels are family members and are taken good care of by Marcus, James and other lads. We were fortunate to get a ride with Good Boy and Butch. The experience was terrific as James let us know a lot of the life of camels. For us it was one of the highlights to see little Jamal who is... More

We selected this from the tours offered by The Ghan during its stop in Alice Springs. Overall a well organised experience with well behaved camels; an interesting ride; and a welcome snack of dips, fruit and juices in the immaculate museum/souvenir shop on return. The experience could have been significantly improved by a more comprehensive commentary on the location, the... More

Riding Camels? No way, but I guess if I dragged the missus to the Hall of Fame Truck Museum I had no choice! Well was I surprised, the way they handle this is awesome. We were picked up from our caravan park and from the time that we were dropped back we had a ball. Ignore the abuse you get... More

James is the perfect host for our adventure at Pyndan camel tracks. Picked us up and took us home via town (thank you) all included in price :) we had the best time even on the hour long trek. We ranged in age 6 to 67 and I think my mum - the 67 year old had more fun then... More

I did the sunset camel tour on Sunday 1st Feb and have to say I was pretty nervous. I arrived early and was entertained by the young apprentice MALCOLM who was so passionate and knowledgeable about the camels and was very clear he loves them - which was great!! The camels were very friendly, well trained and Pixie was the... More

This really was fun riding a camel. The camels were well trained. They knelt down, I hopped on, they limbered up and first we walked, then we jogged a bit. Ouch! Bouncing up and down. Lots of fun, and not expensive.

This was a lovely relaxing adventure. My guide James was very friendly and knowledgable with lots of laughs along the way. The views on the sunset tour were amazing. Don't forget to take your phone or a camera for pics along the way. I drove myself out to Pyndan Camel Tracks and it was very easy to find.

I went on a sunset view tour led by Malcolm and it was one of the best tours I've done. Even though the weather wasn't very permitting, and wet (the worst for 30 years), the ride was very pleasant. During the ride there were some areas where the camels weren't able to go, because of the fresh mud, but we... More

Thanks for reviewing our tour as one of the best in Alice Springs. Your kind words mean a lot, especially to our cameleers who are extremely hard working, and have to work outside in all sorts of challenging outback weather. You should see the desert after the rain, so green! More
