it's less crowded than the aquarium and zoo, so we felt much less stressed and claustrophobic walking around than at the other places.

If you are looking for an all-day, walk-until-you-drop, see animals from every continent experience, then this isn't the place for you. But if, like us, you have limited time in Sydney and want to focus that time on animals unique to this part of the world, then this is the right place. We can see elephants and lions and that... It's too pricey and There's hardly anything to see. You can't touch any animals. I would prefer toronga zoo any day .

You get to see most of the important Australian animals here, only problem is it's a bit pricey. My kids love it and we will definitely be going back.

Its amazing how a zoo was build in the middle of the city. Its like you are far from everything, when you enter there. The staffs are really professional and knowledgeable. Starting from the lady at the ticket office, who was really nice. I was only a bit disappointed not to touch a koala. In an advert, I saw that... More

We enjoyed our trip to the zoo but were a little disappointed at how quick we got round. However, it is in the Darling Harbour location, & the space has been used well, showcasing mainly Australian animals, retiles, insects & sea creatures. Definitely a good way to wile away a couple of hours. As with the Sea Life Centre next... More

Not that fancy actually, the only thing I prefer this over Taronga Zoo is that the entire faculty is air-conditioned. Compared to Taronga zoo which is open air and really quite hot. However, if you've been to Taronga Zoo already, you can pretty much give this a pass. I think almost all of the animals here can be found in... More

We didn't have time to do the Taranga zoo, so opted for this one. Tickets seem high at $40, but they lure you into thinking they are much cheaper on their website until you try to book. Then it becomes cheaper, but not much. $40 normally, but $34 if you book online and come before say noon, then $28 if... More

I don't generally like zoos, but couldn't pass up the opportunity to get up close to koalas. Go for the breakfast visit - there were only c16 of us and we had a private tour of the whole facility before getting to meet the koalas. Your not allowed to touch them (quite rightly) but you do get to have your... More

... and you can't make it to a larger wild life park to cuddle a koala or see a kangaroo... then check this place out. It's quite small, but means it's quiet (especially first thing in the morning) so you have some good chances to see Australian animals up close - through the glass. Didn't think it was worth the...
