My 100th Review: So take the boat over from downtown harbour past the Opera House to the Sydney Zoo. Then ride a tram up to the top of the Mountain. You then walk in a circular patter down to the base where you first landed, wowed at every turn, holding Koalas, seeing species from the South Pacific one only dreams... More

This place competes with Taronga Zoo only because it is a lot less effort to get here for most visitors to Sydney and therefore takes less time. This is a relatively small zoo. However, that said, I loved the place! All the main Australian animals can be seen here from koalas and kangaroos to echidnas and emus. Many of the... More

As the brochure said Wildelife Zoo/Park, I expected some more wildelife in outside areas, instead of behind the glass. As I don't really like just watching animals locked up behind the glass or in cages of only a couple square metres.. (so yeah, the zoo probably isn't the place to go for me) It turned out to be more like... More

Every visitor to Sydney should take the time to enjoy the beautiful Sydney zoo. We arrived by a short and scenic ferry ride , this zoo is very spacious , clean and has amazing views from the top . Educational and fun shows throughout the grounds . The animals are not kept in cages but rather have areas mimicking there... More

Wildlife Sydney Zoo was a great way to see a number of Australian animals in one convenient location. Good views of kangaroos, koalas and cassowary. Staff were friendly. I liked the nocturnal area as this is a group of animals that it is hard to see in their own habitat.

Hi Sharon W, Thanks for your review. Great to hear that you had such a good time on your visit. All of us at WILD LIFE Sydney have our favourite parts of the zoo but I agree that the nocturnal display is pretty special. With animals such as our endangered bilby, the spotted quoll or even the more exotic looking... More

As we were very tight for time we opted for this attraction rather than Taronga Zoo. It was just over an hour until closing when we decided to go in and they assured us we would be able to see everything in that time. We did manage to get all the way round without any trouble. We fed the kangaroos... More

Hi DARoss14, Thanks for taking the time to post your review. It's great to hear that you enjoyed your visit. Even though it was close to closing time, the afternoons are certainly a great time to visit as our kangaroos love to interact and feed before the sun goes down! Looking forward to seeing you again when you next visit... More

This is not an inexpensive zoo and is quite small. It's all in doors which is something else you don't normally see in a zoo. Having said that there are some very interesting exhibits and for someone from North America it's a convenient way to see a lot of unique Australian wildlife in short amount of time. You can see... Hi Mdkirkpatrick, Thanks for taking the time to post your review and great to hear that you enjoyed your visit. It is true that weekends are a little busier at WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo and you may also have visited us during our busier time of school holidays. Nonetheless we always try to pack as many keeper talks and wild... More

We went to this zoo as part of our Merlin Pass. It is located right next to the Sea Life Aquarium, and we went to the zoo after we finished lunch. Unfortunately, that means it was busy by that time (about 5 hours after opening). We had already visited Featherdale Zoo the day before. This zoo is different from Featherdale... More

Hi Raraavis17, Thanks for your review. You are completely correct in your observation that WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo is different to other zoos and wild life parks! We are focused solely on Australian animals and try to showcase our country's fascinating wild life in realistic landscape themed exhibits which show the natural environments in which our animals are found. We... More

Really liked this small wild life zoo. The staff are lovely and knowledgable. Only took 60 mins but we saw a lot of active animals. Love REX the croc.

My husband and I have visited the zoo about 4 times. We love the animals. It's a small zoo obviously for it to be city one but great I would imagine for family outings or school trips. We would go again if on offer. We probably would go to Taronga Zoo if were going to pay full price.
