A great bar

A beautiful old building on the Rocks that is one of the oldest in Sydney. It's in great condition and isn't a fake tourist trap. Quite a few beers to suit any taste from craft to... read more

Great little place with a historic vibe backed up with excellent customer service. Music with a live band roped the night off, I will definitely go again!

Booked this pub for the team Christmas lunch and was surprised how easy it was to get a table (16/12/2015). There is a very good food selection including a tapas menu and all the other pub favourites. Great selection of beers as well. It is a bit pricey - $19 for a steak sandwich but this is the 'Rocks' after... More

My husband and I were wandering The Rocks on a Sunday afternoon, and just as it started to rain, a man and woman walking by said "If you are looking for a pub, this is a great one!" So we took their advice and were very glad we did! Atmosphere was friendly and historic, and we really enjoyed the music... More

Dropped in here for a beer. Too expensive, the keg needed changing and the girl who pulled the beer did a bad job of doing it, needs to learn how to properly. Over the top, don't waste your time going here.

Called into the Hero for a beer and wine after walking around Barangaroo. Wine at $8.50 a glass. That's ok. Schooner $8.50 !! Bit rich Pay by card - $2 surcharge !!!! Well over 10%. That's bullsh.t. No wonder it was quiet in there. All the others in the area were packed with customers.

If you like your pubs with some really cool history then you are going to have to check this place out. First of all it pretty much looks the same as it did back in the 1800s when it was built. The old sandstone walls are nothing short of awesome. Also they have this cellar where drunken patrons used to... More

I loved the look of this old tavern with old wood floors and stone building that has stood the test of time. A nice place to have a cold one, whilst talking to locals and enjoying entertainment. We went there a few times and noticed the weekend afternoons to be the best.

A beautiful old building on the Rocks that is one of the oldest in Sydney. It's in great condition and isn't a fake tourist trap. Quite a few beers to suit any taste from craft to general. It's stripped back brick walls are old world and very welcoming. The barman was great and the service was attentive. I hope it... More
