Good service The bar on the ground floor was packed! But the restaurant upstairs was not. Even on a Thursday night it was pretty full so I'll recommend making reservations. Wide selection of beers, it won't disappoint. I'm not really a beer person but I enjoyed what I had. The food! Oh man! Best!! We had something from the special... More

I went here with some work colleagues for a dinner. I have been here several times before but tried again it as it met the needs of my companions. That is not too expensive, reasonable food, reasonable wines and somewhere you can talk. We had a selection of meals between us and everybody was happy. The service was good and... More

Absolutely love the beer. Loved every one that I tried. And the drinks are very reasonably priced. Make a pub crawl out of this place and neighboring historic bars to really enjoy the night.

This is one of my favourite spots in Sydney. Pub has great atmosphere which means it's always busy. I am a beer drinker normally but tried cider this time. Best cider I have ever had and made themselves on site. Had pizza and cauliflower soup. Delicious.

We had a delicious steak dinner with the seasonal beers. I'd recommend tasting the seasonal beers before ordering one because tastes really vary. Nice waiting staff and fun location. Very expensive, though.

This is a bar and hotel that brews its own excellent beers. It is Sydney's Oldest Hotel and has a very welcoming, friendly atmosphere. There is a slight nautical theme but it is not overwhelming. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The menu isn't huge, but this means that what is made is brilliantly prepared and delicious. It's set... More

We visited this place in Feb, 2015 during lunch hours and found it to be extremely calm and peaceful. The administration has tried its best to maintain the historical look of this oldest pub/bar in Sydney. With nice wind blowing, one can sit outside and enjoy his beer soaking in the vintage look of the place. The staff is nice,... More

A short walk from the rocks we were in the area so thought let's call in and have some lunch. Beautiful old pub with microbrewery at back brasserie upstairs but we choose a bar meal with 2 beers on tap. The spaghettini crab and chilli was Devine but my Caesar salad with cold poached quail eggs was a little underdressed... More
