Had been told this was a must visit when in Sydney. Was not disappointed, great ales and good food. Terrific atmosphere, if you get a table your set for the night. Only a few minutes walk from circle quay. Will certainly be calling again on next visit to Sydney.

Excellent beers brewed on the premises (try the "3 Sheets"), great food and brilliant atmosphere. Do I need to say anymore?

Great location away from the tourist section of the rocks. Beautiful old establishment steeped in history of colonial sydney. Micro brewed beers make this bar stand out from others. Good pub food and atmosphere.

Family popped into Lord Nelson after seeing it on the 1000 Places to See Before You Die Australia episode. Good pub food--not too 'exotic' for our kids and delicious enough to bring smiles to the table. Great house-brewed beers and help with wine selections.

Would thoroughly recommend The Lord Nelson, we visited on a Monday and Tuesday night at the end of September and the bar was full. Food very good and choice of beers and wine excellent.

Eating out in Sydney seemed expensive to us, so we were very glad to find the Lord Nelson. We visited 3 times for dinner, each time ordered the special and a glass of wine, sat by the fire and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. And we could walk from our hotel at the Circular Key - convenient!

The Lord Nelson is rightly regarded as the 'go to' place for craft beer on tap. They had an excellent selection when I was there but, as it was early afternoon, I just had the one pint. It was, however, very good and I'm sure the others would have been just as satisfying. The staff are friendly, welcoming and efficient.... More

The Lord nelson is a very popular place. Great beers - amazing staff and old worlde charm. I stayed in the accommodation too and that was very good quality. The brasserie restaurant is fantastic with the best food ever.

A visit to The Lord Nelson is not complete without a pork pie, they are available from behind the bar and they are so tasty, especially washed down with a pint of The Lord Nelson brewery beer. There is loads of beer on tap and the pub has it's own brewery!! I love the variety and the food menu has... More
