Really enjoyed my evening visit to Lord Nelson. It was recommended by our guide on the Sydney Bridge Walk. It is a small pub in a neighborhood setting. Close by, but outside of the bustle of The Rocks restaurant area. Very friendly servers and the on-site brewed beer was excellent. I had two British style pints. The duck salad I... More

The food was really nice. We had the spatchcock with truffle infused mash potatoes. Good atmosphere and good service

Loved the atmosphere and some great brews. The food options in the bar area were limited - we tried the pizza and it was good.

Still a great historic hotel .but... Food is down pies , snacks very ordinary esp for the price. This is not a budget hotel and food should reflect price. Not so

I live in the Sydney area and stop in whenever I'm in the Rocks area. The beer is good (I recommend the Nelsons Blood). The atmosphere is a big draw, sandstone exterior and exposed wooden ceiling. They even had the fire place going on a chilly day when I stopped in a few weeks ago.

Nary a day goes by that I don't miss the Rocks neighborhood or this great pub (or "hotel" as they often say Down Under). Every beer is fabulous, the people are incredible (of course they are, they're Aussies) and the menu is classic . . . my life is now a never-ending search for the Poughman's Lunch!

Never ate here, but the selection of beers is just fabulous. Everyone has a very distinctly different taste. Bar staff are very informative and helpful when makinf your choice.

Great location at the end of The Rocks. Steeped in nostalgia, the atmosphere is warm and friendly. Try their great ales - a good place to catch up with friends and get away from the crowds.

The Lord Nelson is definitely a part of Sydney's history and worth going there for a 'pint'. The Lord Nelson make their own boutique brews and my favourite there is the three sheets pale ale and if you are hungry have it one of the Lord Nelson's pies.... It is only a small pub but always seems to be busy... More

I just loved visiting this pub on a recent trip to Sydney. First time was just for a drink, then for a meal. I enjoyed both. The pub is full of atmosphere and has a general great vibe.
