Watched Boyhood...the audio and video were surprisingly clear and looked great. We were lucky that we had a great audience and no drunks running around (as many others have complained). Definitely get food as the food on venue is expensive and pretty much sucks. Also if you can, do rent the bean bags; super comfy.

I've been there once before and had a better experience than this recent visit. Went to watch the movie paper planes and we thought we got a good spot, but as people poured in, there were a few people who brought camping chairs that decided to sit a few spaces in front of us. That sort of blocked our view.... More

We were given these tickets as a present and unfortunately our movie was shown on a very rainy and miserable night. The movies are not cancelled!! I was mortified how many folks sat in the rain. We took credit. Here is where my experience quickly rolls downhill. There is no telephone contact to rebook and the email contact seems to... More

I'll be honest, I've loved Moonlight Cinema in the past and it can be a wonderful experience and a highlight of the Sydney Summer/Autumn calendar. However, since Telsta took over sponsorship of the event, it appears to leave a lot to be desired. On 30/12/14, MC in Sydney screened "The Imitation Game". The toilets were out of order all evening... More

This was our second year visiting the Moonlight cinema, and it just gets better and better! Such a fun night out. The food is the only downside to be honest. It is cold + pre-prepared so you are better off BYO'ing!

Set on a gentle slope in beautiful Centennial Park, there is no better place to enjoy a movie. We saw a G rated show so there were plenty of families which was great. We took our dog who enjoyed the mild night and slept through the show. Recommend taking your own food as there is a limited (expensive) menu on... More

Visited yesterday with friends to watch the Imitation Game. Sold out but space for everyone. Sound and picture quality great. However, before the film started both blocks of mens toilets shut, by the end of the film ladies too, everyone queuing for 1 disabled toilet. Food on a half hour wait by 7.45. On the whole the cinema experience was... More

This is Sydney in Summer!! Great outdoor cinema in the renovated belvedere amphitheatre (less trees, nice path). Its a bit out the city but very local to us and easy transport. Make sure you book in advance for popular movies and get there early for a bean bag- which provide ultimate comfort and worth the extra cash. They also have... More

Once you get in, the setting is unreal and the film (anchroman) was of a decent audio/visual quality. Massively let down as they made 1000's of people queue in single file, we had to wait for about 45 mins. Obviously we were hoping to have our picnic and drinks as the sun was going down but by the time we... More

We went to the moonlight cinema a couple of times, getting the bus from Hyde Park Sydney to Centennial Park which is an easy journey. When you get to the park you need to walk through until you see the lights. My advice is to book on line as you save quite a bit! We paid $11 each for a... More
