From Sydney very easy to get to Cronulla beach, forty minutes by train. A short walk to the beach then a huge walk on the beach, many facilities, I liked the body and feet showers. Lots of seating too.

Cronulla is a beautiful small beach town at the end of the East and Illawarra train line from Sydney Central. The walk around the point from North Beach to Gunnamatta Bay is scenic both seaward and inland as the houses overlooking the sea are amazing. Good value in the Marina Cafe to revive your appetite and take a rest too.... More

The only Sydney Beach that can be reached by train. This is a patrolled beach, in a beachside suburb of Cronulla, 26 km South of Sydney CBD.. Plenty of things to do from surfing, and fishing, to hiking, whale watching or just lazing on uncrowded beaches. Lots of food shops but I highly recommend walk further away from the beachside... What a fantastic beach! We wish the beach town we're from in Victoria, (Rosebud), had the same facilities and input from the Shire. Well done, Shire of Sutherland.

Best beach in Sydney, stiff sea breezes coupled with a good little shopping strip filled with just the right mix of shops and cafes at family prices. I disliked the lack of parking, but that's Sydney in the summer.

I went there on May 2014, my first impression for this beach it's located almost 2 hours (Max) by train from Sydney CBD, I don't really like long travel, but after I arrived... OMG... it was so wonderful, there are lots of food stands & restaurants, and you can even walk alongside the sea. I spent almost 2 hours exploring... More

Walked from Coojee to Bondi along the coastal path most was reasonably flat but there were two or three places where there were quite steep steps, but all in all for the reasonably fit person taking their time it is very enjoyable. There are some fantastic places to stop and take photos. Possible time taken was 1:30 mins, depending on... More

What better way to burn some calories than to take a beach walk. The coast at Cronulla can be quite spectacular and the cool breeze will always make your walk comfortable in summer and a tad chilly in the cooler months. A coastline walk is a great way to spend an hour or two.

Unless you want to swim Or have a picnic and you have plenty of time.. this place is boring.. nothing much to do. I would rather go to more interesting places as a tourist.

I am a fan of all the Sydney beaches so it is hard to say something bad for any of them. As far as I remember, this one was the only one that could be reached by train so no parking problems :)
