When I use to work in the City I would escape to Hyde Park to chill out and relax at lunch time. A beautiful park right in the heart of the city. Stroll around or sit back and people watch the passing parade of characters. Lovely historic fountains, statues and the War Memorial.

What started as a walk to fill in time while my visa for an upcoming trip to China turned into a pleasant hours exploration of Sydney's historic centre. Nestled amongst tall trees, water features and historic memorials is Sydney's Hyde Park. A slow wander opened my eyes to the peace and tranquillity amongst the hustle and bustle of the City.... More

We stay at Hyde Park inn on Elizabeth street on the 15th floor quite often & we always have an amazing view of the park specially the pool of reflections & the anzac memorial which is well worth a look in itself but,the park is a credit to the Sydney council for the stunning way in which it is maintained... Hyde park is surround by the Sydney city center and it is a wonderful green space. Many of the trees are big, old and impressive. There are fountains at both ends but the one at the north is very pretty. And the walk to the other end where the Anzac memorial is quite nice.

Hyde Park is a beautiful park in the city. We visited early in the morning, while the path lights were on, which gave me some very wonderful photographs. It's a wonderful place to sit with a coffee and watch the world go by. The fountain is a great place to sit in the sun and relax. Circling the fountain for... More

This park is very safe and beautiful. In the summer its lovely to just sit and relax on the grass, have a picnic or read and in winter its nice for a stroll especially as it is less busy. The fountain has recently been restored and looks great. There's often people performing and lots of events held here. If you... More

Absolutely stunning scenery. Don't miss it. Take your fav book or your traveling partner and enjoy a walk anytime of the day. There is live music, cafés and restaurants on the opposite side, and why not book a hotel in the same area? If you can afford a sensational scene from your balcony, it won't be a water of money....
