Recently went to Watsons Bay for a day trip. We ate at the seafood restaurant, the platters were incredible and had drinks on the outside terrace. The weather was perfect which made for a spectacular view of the harbour.

We visited this little place as part of the hop on/hop off boat tour. It's a must see! The view from Gap Bluff is breathtaking.

Good way to pass some time at the site of Captain Philips first settlement folowing landing. Ferry from Circular Quay is reasonably priced, locals friendly and very pleasant walking.

Cute little village from which you can take a ferry across to visit Manly, but not a whole lot to see here. There are two restaurants on shore, with one specializing in seafood, but we had to leave after sitting down and looking at the prices; just a bit to dear for a lunch meal. However, the same restaurant has... More

Ferry calls in at Watson's Bay, so very easy to get there. The added extra here is the renowned fish & chip café on the harbour. When a ferry comes in there's always a queue but we were soon served. Lunch cost $15 each so quite reasonable price, it was tasty as well as enormous! One serving would have been... More

The ferry from Circular quay is a great way to get here, and its a great spot for a picnic on the beach or grab some fish and chips. We were here on a sunny Sunday afternoon and the place was alive.

It's very difficult to get there but it worth it. View from the cliff is beautiful, beach and ferry are romantic, restaurant is amazing but i couldnt find a way to the lighthouse-which was the main reason why i went there.

We went to Watson's Bay via the hop on/off ferry. There is a walking trail along the cliff area that offers some amazing views. We ended up walking to a beach area (? Cave Cove) that was small but clean. Dining in this area was a little expensive and the lines/waits were fairly long.

Just take the Sydney Ferry to Watson's Bay...the ferry ride is an attraction in itself, with great views of the Opera House and harbor. You can turn around and go back, stop for an hour for a meal, or even spend a few hours walking up to see the ocean views. I had a decent lunch at the Beach Club.... More
