Best wayto Watson Bay is to take train to Wynyard, then walk tp Circular Quay and catch the ferry. Watson Bay has great view to the ocean, nice park, relaxing beach and beautiful iconic lighthouse.

Having visited Watson's Bay several times previously, enjoying stopping off for fish and chips, and walking the length of the bay, my husband and I decided to do something different this time. We walked up to the cliffs through the park where a fabulous view of Sydney city can be seen. We continued south until we came to the huge... More

We took the bus here from Bondi and were so pleased that we did. We got there mid to late afternoon and found that the little beach was a delight. The park down to the jetty makes a nice walk and the ‘town’ whilst small is pleasant enough. We took the opportunity to walk up to the Gap Bluff where... More

Watson Bay is an idilic setting for a casual afternoon or evening out. The choice of meals is extensive and a big emphasis on everything fishy. We enjoyed an fabulous evening meal just watching the sun go down over the water and the boats. ah yes.

Probably the best lunch trip for fish and chips in the world. Take the ferry from Circular Quay to Watson's Bay and go to Doyle's for the fish and chips. Have them with some of their wonderful Chablis (the wine list is wonderful) and take in the view. The ferry ride back will be good for the digestion.

Travelled by ferry from Manly on the Captain Cook ferry - a quick trip across with great views. The ferries to and from are packed as are all the places that are recommended in Watsons Bay. Of course we had Doyle's Fish and Chips for lunch (the queue is very long) and sat in the park. Some of the party... More

Small bay, lots of bars and restaurants around. We stayed a couple of hours but there wasn't lots to do other than sunbathe.

We went to watson's bay on a glorious morning. It was a beautiful drive down. Or you can catch the ferry at circular quay. Once you're there you can head to the baths for a swim or walk over to The Gap and start a stunning short walk. Next up was fish and chips at the Doyle's takeaway on the... More
