We took a ride on the ferry out of Circular Quay just to do something different and we were richly rewarded with views of the city and harbour foreshores. You must check out the restaurants at Watsons Bay. Excellent food and views!!

Easy ferry ride from Sydney, great fish and chips or classic seafood dining right at the dock. But walk a short distance to the ocean side and view a spectacular coast-line. Super half-day excursion from Sydney (or part of a longer ocean walk route).

As a repeat visitor I generally look forward to visiting Watson's Bay. A sunny winter Sunday brings out the crowds (though not as many as in summer) but the charms of Watson's Bay are to walk its streets as I did far from the madding crowd. Access is easy with a ferry every half an hour. A great destination to... More

We took friends visiting from overseas to Watson's Bay recently, taking the ferry from Circular Quay for the first time in many years. The Harbour and Watson's Bay were at their very best; we walked through the park up to The Gap, back through the village to Camp Cove for ice-cream on the beach before fish and chips in the... More

If you only have 3 to 4 hrs and havent had enough travelling, the city of Sydney is never going to stop your thirst. I got onto ferry to watson's bay at 1pm and got the last boat back at 4.40pm. It was a good 3 hours spent there. Not so much on food, we travelled north immediately when reaching... More

Great views of the ocean. We took an easy ferry ride from Circular Quay and returned to Bondi Junction by bus. Both areas offer lots of places to eat.

we did the walk from Watson bay to bondi beach. It does take a long time but the views from the board walk at Watson bay are fantastic. this would be a great spot for the start of the Sydney to Hobart Race

This place is pretty a small. It was a short bus ride from Bondi and a short ferry ride back to the City. Lovely place to sit and watch the day go by with Fish and Chips and a cider.
