I grew up in Bondi and we went here every weekend. I don't go as often now but it is still a special place. You can go to the hotel, Doyles on the Beach or simply wander around. Every visitor to Sydney should come here.

We didn't have time to explore Watson's Bay (next trip..) but walked to Vaucluse House (which has personal history with my husband's family)..anyway, a wonderful piece of Sydney history is tucked away here, and the lunch at the outdoor Café/restaurant well worth it. The House itself needs a bit of time to really explore and appreciate it's worth.

Try and travel by ferry if you can, if not the bus is pretty good too. Doyles at Watson Bay is the place to eat but expensive seafood, grab something an a cafe or the takeaway place on the wharf. Adjacent Camp Cove is a great safe harbour beach. Awesome walk out to the heads , just avert your eyes... More

Get the fast ferry to Watson's Bay. Have a seafood lunch right on the beach and take in the views. Then take the signed walkway up to the lighthouse at the entrance to the harbour and look back at the views towards the city. Breath taking.

Watsons bay is an old fishing village, with quaint historic houses, beautiful walks, old gum trees, a view of the harbour and a real holiday feel to it. Seagulls fighting for your fish and chips and a fabulous harbour pool to swim in, jump off the jetty. It's also minutes from Camp Cove a treasure of a beach.

Caught the ferry from Circular Quay to Doyles on the Beach at Watsons Bay. Lovely open space and a beautiful old Moreton Bay fig tree. Nice takeaway cafe on the wharf.

I organised for a small group of OS visitors to take the ferry from Circular Quay to Watson's Bay, where I had reserved a table at the Beach Restaurant for lunch. The day was cloudy, but still spectacular views back to the bridge and the city. The food was superb, the location spectacular, the staff excellent and altogether it was... More

Take the ferry or bus out to Watson's Bay to Sydney Harbour National Park. Walk the coastline trail for spectacular views or the harbour and the Pacific Ocean. There are a few restaurants. We splurged on lunch at historic Doyle's on the Beach. It was excellend.
