The park walk is a past discovery and how the rich English landlords brought from their distant Empire to dominate their new colony with cheap convict... More

This must be such a lovely place to go for regular picnics or family outings - cannot imagine a better one. Magnificent trees and a very cute and tranquil harbour beach with protective nets.

You can catch the ferry to here. A lovely little beach right in the middle of Sydney Harbour. Just around the corner is a doggy beach at Vaucluse. Great for family picnics or picnics for anyone and have a swim as well. Parking is a problem though, unless you car pool,so catch a ferry!

I grew up here and recently returned to see what has changed. It's free now in my day we paid to get in. It is now a littlte different. The netis still there but the dive tower and pontoons have gone. Dressing sheds not much different. I wonder if the local school kids skinny dip as we did there at... More

We went to the cafe at about 2pm to get some lunch and they had run out of everything except fish and chips. Would have expected them to be more prepared for the crowds since it is summer holidays. The cafe was busy and chaotic and there was no line system so it took us a while to work out... More

Lovely harbourside park for families or singles. Nice little cafe, toilets, picnic areas and swimming for all. Take a walk along the harbour from here to other nice swimming spots or to Watson's Bay for lunch. Not a long walk and has beautiful views. Or catch a ferry over to Watson's Bay or Rose Bay and walk around to Nielsen... More

Nielsen Park with its grassy expanses, netted swimming pool and sandy beach,is a perfect spot for a family picnic. There is an unusual peace that descends on this harbor side haven. Its great to watch the ferries coming and going while enjoying a late afternoon. There are many shade trees. In the middle of of this setting is Greycliffe,a charming Victorian gothic... More
