our friends took us here, it is an amazing little paradise of a beach. unfortunately there was a sand storm at that time which spoiled out plans. But id like to go back someday.

It's just few minutes from Manly beach. Looks like a small hidden gem. A bit cramped but worth it to stop and enjoy a coffee at before you proceed towards the nature walk from Shelly beach to Manly.

On one fine sunny day, I took the ferry to Manly and decided to walk from one end of Manly Beach to the Shelly Beach side. Along the way I noted Marine Parade, the Cabbage Bay Aquatic Reserve and Shelly Beach. It was a lovely short walk (by my standards) and it was lovely just sitting on the beach park... More

How romantic - to stroll to Shelly Beach and sit on the sand to watch the sun setting over beautiful Manly beach.

Beautiful walk a long the coast with intermittent sculptures, passing a salt water swimming pool and a shop or two with trinkets in. Beach was quieter than Manly and looked over the water towards it' smaller waves than the main beach and a few fishes to look at through your googles. Public toilets, water station and a shop.

A trip to Manly is iconic - arriving a the old ferry terminal. There is short walk over to Manly beach - with the surf scene. However turn right and wander down the coast path and in about 10 minutes you reach Shelly Beach. This is a small secluded beach - often almost deserted.. and feels almost tropical. I have... More

Well, I guess I am prejudiced because Shelly Beach is where my future husband has asked for my hand in the marriage... It's very nice walk there from Manly Beach, I like the animals statues put into the rock edging the walk. Many birds to see, or crabs on the rocks, and there is a lovely restaurant(but rather pricy). Good... More

Take a rest from the surfers and pop around to Shelly beach a quite cove overlooking Manly. With a nice bar and your own beach BBQ, it is a delight with safe surfer free swimming.

A pleasant stroll along the waterfront from Manly to Shelly Beach. Sadly there is not much shade available.
