Beauty, the Manly Way. Enjoy

This is a local secret, such an amazing little beach with stunning views onto Manly Beach. Fabulous restaurant The Boat Shed. A must to walk around the Grand Parade.

This is an easy, lovely walk along the foreshore to a small pretty cove that is great for swimming all year round (although alittle cold in winter). Its popularity however is about to skyrocket with the opening of the Boathouse cafe/restaurant perched at the sand's edge. This is part of the small, really good Boathouse group of three restaurants on... More

At the Southern end of Manly Beach you will find the very easy and very delightful walk to Shelly Beach. Enjoy the wonderful views out to sea and back to Manly along the way and in notime at all you will arrive at the very sheltered, very calm Shelly Beach. Relax, swim, snorkel or play beach sports. Very safe for... More

Shelly is a secluded beach with no waves, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. It's packed with fishes: especially some huge blue gropers! The fishes are used to see swimmers so they don't hide at all. You get there taking a very nice path a the south end of Manly Beach. There is a bar/restaurant, bbq, toilets and the start of the... More

This small family friendly beach is tucked away. The water is calm and the view is spectacular! My son went diving here and saw a Giant Cuddlefish! I sat on the beach and visited with many locals while he went diving. There is not much shade. There are bathrooms and showers available. If you need parking - get there early!

Bit of a walk to get there but well worth it. Ferry trip to Manly on Sydney harbour is just magnificent but stay outside up top for best photo opportunities. Dolphins are often found in the harbour and if you are lucky the odd whale has been known to wander in and perform for the ferries.

Sheltered, nice swimming. Rocky sandy shore which can be a bit sharp on the toes. The beach is narrow but the sand goes back a long way. It is popular with families.

We live not far from this beach, and its a favourite. Its family friendly, with BBQ facilities, clean toilets and changing rooms. The highlight is the enclosed seawater pool, great for kids and oldies(like me) who are'nt strong swimmers. If its open, go to the Nun's Pool cafe opposite for coffee and cake.

I wish I could go there every day. This is an unique beach. From there you can see the whole Manly beach. It is small but wonderful. I think I like to walk there seeing the landscape so beautiful. IT is a paradise.

This calm and secluded beach can be reached directly or through a walk around the rocks from Manly. There's a kiosk and toilets here and a generous amount of sand space. Shelly is set amongst the trees and has a country feel within the city. The water itself has a sudden drop from flat and shallow to quite deep. The... More
