A lovely walk along Manly Beach to Shelly Beach. Lots of bits of art and installations along with way. A little cute cove and great beach for small children. Really clean and safe.

Great place to walk to via the Manly beach front. Parking is minimal but its a lovely walk. Its sheltered so there are only tiny waves and there is a restaurant and kiosk but they are pretty expensive. Nice small beach pool is off the walkway with public toilets available. If your visiting Manly this is a good place to... More

This is a great place to spend the evening. Kids have lots of safe a secluded place to play. Adults may rest on the beach or in the close by park. Places to eat are just a couple steps away.

We ended the Manly/Shelly scenic walk here, as did several hundred others. Not a large beach, but, we found enough space to set our stuff down without being on top of another group. It's a small cove so the waves are calm. Oh yeah, there's a ton of shells - hence the name.

A lovely secluded little beach about half a mile along the pathway running by the seashore. However, if you are looking for some nourishment at the end of your walk the only place currently available by the beach is a mobile takeaway coffee bar as the nearby restaurant/cafe/shop is undergoing major resoration and it looks like it will be several... Nice family beach without big ocean waves. Was snorkelling 50 meters from beach and there were lots of large fish. Nearby parking in very limited and is quite expensive ($16 per day) Here is underwater video taken on that beach. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1Ybza3Zhnc

I came here for some of the best local Scuba Diving around without hitting the Great Barrier Reef. Beach is lovely. Sculptures embedded in the stones around. Natural beautiful plants and lizards are about and are protected. Great for snorkling as well.

We loved this beach. It is a short walk from Manly beach but has a very different flavor since it is less crowded and more intimate. We swam at this beach and wanted to stay longer.

The walk itself from Manly to Shelly is excellent, being well surfaced, and some excellent sculptures embedded in the retaining wall. The cafe is being extensively rebuilt. The diving and snorkeling look good but not for me. Try the walk from Shelly to North head - a good view.
