A short walk from Manly, this beach is worth visiting. It's peaceful and sheltered from the wind off the sea that prevails on Manly Beach. The sand is just wonderful and the beach was not crowded. The walk to it is fairly flat and you pass tea rooms on the way whilst you take in the scenery. The seagulls that... More

Very nice Sydney beach - visited in 2003 nor 2013, but that option wasn't available - but very good bars, cafés and restaurants to enjoy in quite a chilled beach location, away from the madness of Manly/Bondi or Coogee

Ferry out from Circular key, fish and chips sitting by the sea (watch out for the seagulls) and the stroll along to Shelly Beach and back, watch out for the water dragons.

Shelly beach was quite a different experience for me... the cold and clear water made me feel like being at a lake more than at the beach.... lovely place to spend the day

Take a walk along the seaside path from Manly, or even Queenscliff for that matter , past the bust Fairy Bower and onto Shelly Beach. With A World Class Restaurant Le Kiosk or the more casual Cafe next door you can dine and enjoy a beverage or take your picnic basket and make use of the bar-b-ques provided for a... More

Pretty little beach 5 minutes walking from bus stops or Manly ferry. Really really nice, you can rent a stand up paddle and enjoy the nature along the Manly Beach or walk up to the mountains. Reccomend.

take the walk along the rocky shoreline from Manly to Shelly Beach. The pathway is wide and not at all strenuous. You will pass by some beautiful scenery and look out for the water dragons (lizards) basking in the sunshine. This is one of the best spots to view the Manly seaside and surrounds. A great favourite and one of... More

This beach definitely has the best snorkelling in the Sydney area. Plenty of marine life. See something different everytime.
