We started in Manly, but the waves were a little strong for a small person to swim. Decided to do the coastal walk and stumbled upon Shelly Beach. Such a huge difference! The beach was busy, but the water was calm and warm. We had a lovely swim here.

Shelly beach is just amazing! you are out of the way from the busy wave breaks and you will be in the ultimate chill out beach. If you plan on visiting here then you MUST bring your snorkeling equipment. This place is a nursery for a lot of aquatic animals, you will see sting rays, giant snails, port jackson's, Grouper... Shelley beach is a great beach to swim. It doesn't get as crowded as the main beach, There are also trees there for shade and only I short walk from Manly beach

This small bathing beach is a pleasant walk along the coastal pathway from Manley. A small pretty beach where one can climb to the lookout to see the Pacific. The restaurant is closed at the moment for renovations so take a drink with you as there are limited choices

Shelly Beach is a gorgeous beach about 10 mins walk from the South End of Manly Beach. It is a lovely easy walk around to it with a cafe and a Restaurant (under renovation at present though) when you get there. There is a grass section with two electric bbqs for family picnics. It also has toilets and showers. Above... More

Snorkelling is great here. However it may be a little cold. Children can enjoy the mild waves and venture off to view some sea life. Parking cost $8 per hour.
