take the walk along the rocky shoreline from Manly to Shelly Beach. The pathway is wide and not at all strenuous. You will pass by some beautiful scenery and look out for the water dragons (lizards) basking in the sunshine. This is one of the best spots to view the Manly seaside and surrounds. A great favourite and one of... More

The Boathouse at Balmoral Beach and Palm beach offer fabulous meals and relaxed and stylish environment. Children can play on the beach within site. Now they will open at Shelly Beach, cant wait!

This beach definitely has the best snorkelling in the Sydney area. Plenty of marine life. See something different everytime.

Start off from esplanade, and walk round to Shelly. Swim in the marine reserve on the way round, and just soak up the views and the laidback lifestyle. Doesn't get any better than this!

A bit dirty, maybe under construction, but a lot of rubbish. Compared to the rest of the trail and Manly Beach this seems to be ignored.

Spontaneously found this little beach with a few friends one afternoon. It's definitely a more peaceful option if you decide to walk up from Manly beach. Sunset views were also very beautiful. Would come back again to use the outdoor bbq facilities.

There is a lovely scenic walk from Manly Beach to Shelly Beach which hugs the cliffs and gives great views of Manly Beach and Queenscliff. It is a tarmacked path and is sheltered from the cold southerly winds, as is Shelly Beach. Both are sun traps which is good when its cold. The Beach is gently slopping and very protected... More

If you are a diver or just like to sunbake then Shelly Beach is the place to be no matter what time of year. It is a popular destination for locals and for this reason you will very rarely be alone but if you will see less people in winter (for obvious reasons). Diving is good all year round. Rays,... More
