Saturday we went to the Palm Beach with kids. What a lovely beach as always! We usually go there in the morning but this time went around 4 pm and found to be quite lovely, not much burning sun and less people. This is a large beautiful beach with all the facilities but without the crowds, mainly families and kids... More

This beach can be accessed by the L90 bus which is between 1.5 and 2 hours north of Sydney. It is not near a train line. It is the northern most beach of the 'Northern Beaches' I first came here when I moved to Sydney 10 years ago and don't cone often, i live at Newport Beach, about 30 minutes... More

It was a personal dream for me visiting this beach as I am a number one fan of the tv drama home and away so being on set was amazing for me and meeting the cast and watching them film on the beach was an absolute bonus!! However, that set aside this is a lovely peaceful beach where we went... More

We visited here on a showery overcast day but still had a great day. The beach is about 3Km long with a man made pool a one end, good for surfing and families. Don't know why it is called palm beach as there are none but lots of norfolk pines. The drive took about 1.5 hours with lots of water views... More

When in Sydney we had to go to Palm Beach as i'm a home and away fan. We went on a quiet day got a juice and had a nice stroll along the beach. One end you have what looks like a real surf club but with closer inspection its the set of home and away. I was a little... More

I was lucky enough to have family living in Sydney so we could drive here. I'm not sure would it be worth a 2 hour public bus trip from Sydney city to see this beach as there are beaches just as nice nearer the city. Saying that it was a nice beach, theres a walk up to the lighthouse at... More

Absolutely gorgeous beach which has enough waves to surf, but also a great place to swim. A beautiful beach which has perfect views - I can see why it is a hot spot in the school holidays!

We went here on a rainy Wednesday not expecting to see Home & Away shooting. Low and behold we walk over the hill, look down on the beach, and there is Alf Stewart shooting a scene! (With Maddy I think, my parters the fan). The crew were super nice and allowed us, and a few others, to watch for a... More

there are two main beaches. one is more wavy and have life guard while the other one is less wavy and very quiet. you have to climb up the little hill to the light house as the view from the top is amazing. my partner and I stayed for the sunset and again it was beyond words can describe.

Very quiet surf and bay situation with quiet a number of "high value' real estate assets in the area. Over an hours travel from Sydney CBD in dense traffic. Lunch can be obtained at a reasonable price at the local RSL Club but beware of the "Grey Nomads" which invade at feeding time
