So pretty, a perfect place for a walk as the beach is so long and you might even catch the crew filming. There's a few little places for food too, expensive for tourists but the average for Australian prices.

I visited here for the second time last week. Enjoyed it as much as the first time. Great scenery and lovely clean beach. Sad to see Barrenjoey Point after the fire, but glad the lighthouse was not affected. Last visit was winter so didn't swim, as it was warmer this time, it was a must that my daughter and I... More

A lovely beach, hired a board and hit the wave. There are a couple of cafe's to get a bite to eat. We got the bus from Sydney which took a while but was worth it

Visited this beach with my fiancée and her family. The beach is simply beautiful. It is large, well kept and in a very nice area. Their was also very good public toilets, showers and changing facilities. We had one home and away fanatic in the group who took a bit more away from the trip as for them it was... More

View from Barrenjoey lighthouse is good. But is Palm Beach worth the trip up from Sydney? Depends. Its a nice beach and all, but there are many great beaches around Australia. If you aren't getting out of the cities then yeah, its probably worth coming up. Otherwise, up to you. You'll have a pleasant time I'm sure!

Palm Beach, boiling hot sand, lovely water and parking is $3 an hour. What more do you need to know?

This is another stunning North Sydney beach. Immaculately clean, great water/waves - and equally as wonderful facilities. All the North Sydney beaches we have visited seem to have facilities that would put the northern hemisphere beaches to shame. Been twice in the last couple of days. Once for swimming/paddling, once for a surfing lesson. Very few people and the sands... More

Famously known for Home and Away. While I was there we were the only ones on both sides at the beach it was really peaceful and nice to just walk along the waters edge. If you head this way make sure to go for breakfast, lunch, or tea at The Boathouse (I have a post on this as well).

Really enjoyed driving from one beach to the other ... but the council do not like tourists as the parking fees are $3 an hour and gets quite expensive if you miss the meter by 15 minutes ... it costs $101. Unfortunately I would not recommend this area for driving tourists.
