I like this beach but I don't think I would rush there again. I found it quite small and you have to bring your own food if you don't want to be limited with the kiosks that are there and don't offer too much. I expected more but maybe it is only me....

I love love love the road from Sydney city to Palm beach. It s so relaxing and meditative. You pass the city, the the northern part of the city .. .as you get closer and closer to the Palm beach, after Avalon, you have already forgotten all your life and just focusing on the MOMENT. take the trip, go to... It took 1.5 hour to reach here from city. I walked from Palm Beach to Barrenjoey Lighthouse, which was pretty easy, took about 45 min return. But the view was great. Then I walked to Avalon Beach, this took me almost 3 hours. Most of the walk was on the road but it's alright, it's not difficult at all. The... More

For every irish person in Sydney....you've just got to go to Palm Beach with the hope of meeting the Braxtons. I went there in June and although I met no stars, it was such a good visit. Its about 45 minutes away from Bondi. When we were there the beach was lovely and calm. I couldnt get over how quiet... More

We hired a car and drove all the way to Palm beach, the intention was to hop few beaches along the way but without gps it was a bit of a challenge. Expect many traffic lights and a bit of jam in the afternoon. Palm beach has a nice flat long stretch of sand with a swimming pool at the... More

In the sun, the sea from deep royal blue on the horizon, to turquoise by the shore of white sand with white breakers rushing ashore by the minute. A beautiful headland complete with old style lighthouse, and turn 180 degrees and you have another sea shore. Add a delightful fine dining restaurant and what more could you want. Just perfect!... Have a fantastic day out by catching the ferry from Ettalong to Palm Beach for lunch. A twenty minute ferry ride with some lovely scenery will take you to the beautiful wharf at Palm Beach where there are many restaurants and hotels to have lunch then wander along the beach front or go to the surf beach to see where... Palm Beach is gorgeous... well worth a visit... great walk up the beach and if you want fabulous food, walk all the way to the other end and cross over to the other side and go to the Boathouse :-)

We travelled by public transport bus out to Palm Beach on a Sunday ... and the majority of travellers were like us, wanting to see where the TV show Home and Away is filmed. Unfortunately, the bus driver wasn't very forthcoming with knowledge regarding which stop was best to alight. We didn't attempt to walk out to the lighthouse as... More
