Palm beach is a beautiful and scenic beach. On top of that it is also a great drive to get to if you follow the water. Great beach, great walk and great drive.

Beautiful beach. Perfect for surfing, swimming at the southern end and a splendid long beach walk. And a little further you can keep climbing and ascend to Barrenjoey Lighthouse for views of Broken Bay, Pittwater and in season, whale watching.

For a great day out,try this.Catch the L90 bus to Palm Beach from the city, get onto the Palm Beach Ferry service and go over to Ettalong.Walk a short distance to the Ettalong RSL club for a meal and a beer ,then later return to the ferry wharf and reverse the journey. Or,rather than get the ferry back, use public transport to... More

I love Palm beach - its a good 90min bus trip from Manly but it is worth it to get out of the city and see the northern beaches. Obvious draw for fans of soap Home and Away as this is where outside scenes are filmed. You easily spot the famous 'surf club' and 'pier diner' (the boat house cafe)... More

Palm Beach is a bit faraway from the city center so for tourists it might be a bit hard to get there. However, it's worth it. It's not crowded like the central beaches, it's actually quite a tranquil place to visit. There are beautiful houses around. The whole environment just makes you dream of living there!

Went down to this beach and stayed two nights. Slept on the beach below the lighthouse and was freezing ;() but had loads of booze to keep me warm. Nice cafe that you see in home and away with a lovely terrace by the sea. The sand is soft and you can relax on this beach for hours! Not many... More

Having heard and read so much about Palm Beach we were full of anticipation when we arrived on the ferry from Ettalong. What we found was hardly exciting, a long walk or even longer wait for a bus, very little information and nothing much to see. The saving grace was a delicious lunch at the Golf Club where we were... Enjoyed all the above out here. Swam , in between the flags to please the lifeguards, but there are currents and rips at both ends of the beach, so be warned. Not many people, on a Monday, sun was warm on a late October day, and getting sand between your toes is never a bad thing. Take the bus from... More
