Palm Beach is a bit faraway from the city center so for tourists it might be a bit hard to get there. However, it's worth it. It's not crowded like the central beaches, it's actually quite a tranquil place to visit. There are beautiful houses around. The whole environment just makes you dream of living there!

Went down to this beach and stayed two nights. Slept on the beach below the lighthouse and was freezing ;() but had loads of booze to keep me warm. Nice cafe that you see in home and away with a lovely terrace by the sea. The sand is soft and you can relax on this beach for hours! Not many... More

Having heard and read so much about Palm Beach we were full of anticipation when we arrived on the ferry from Ettalong. What we found was hardly exciting, a long walk or even longer wait for a bus, very little information and nothing much to see. The saving grace was a delicious lunch at the Golf Club where we were... Enjoyed all the above out here. Swam , in between the flags to please the lifeguards, but there are currents and rips at both ends of the beach, so be warned. Not many people, on a Monday, sun was warm on a late October day, and getting sand between your toes is never a bad thing. Take the bus from... More

Ok so we are truly sad people and don't really call ourselves Home and Away converts but couldn't come to Sydney from Adelaide without visiting. Took us a bit to find the right area for the surf club and was almost going to leave but then did some Googling and found where we needed to be. Got some photos as... More

It's far out of Sydney, but definately worth the trip. Not just the beach, but everything around is beautiful! And if you go, please stay for the sunset and take a walk around the area!

I was really excited to visit Palm Beach being a huge Home and Away fan! We went on a random Wednesday morning, there were no cast or crew around. We walked up to the Barrenjoey lighthouse (15-20 minute walk) and what a stunning view! We checked out the pier, 'bait shop' and the bay where the kayaks are, before checking... More

Palm Beach is a playground for Sydney's rich and famous. The long sweep of beach is stunning with headlands at both ends and the Barrenjoey Lighthouse atop the north end. The walk up to the lighthouse gives great views back down Pittwater and the Northern Beaches and north up the Central Coast. Well worth the effort. Its a great place... More
