Views spectacular, gardens well kept and beautiful, plenty of areas to just sit and think about nothing. These gardens are a must for any overseas visitor and somewhere I always take friends coming to Sydney.

Gardens were very nice and well maintained. We walked around for about an hour and a half in the Gardens. I think we only saw a small portion of what is actually there but what we did see was lovely. Recommend it to anyone visiting Sydney.

Special treats included the overall tranquility and awesome sight of pearl white butterfly colony on native pomegranate trees.

The Royal Botanical Gardens were really enjoyable, well kept, beautiful flowers, we even got to see some exotic birds flying around free. Amazing!

Beautifully kept, very tranquil in parts, stunning views of the harbour. Could definitely keep me occupied for the best part of the day.

Start up the top and walk down through the gardens. Take a picnic lunch as the cafes are expensive. If you start down the bottom near the Opera House you can catch the free train. Lots more info here but all in all a great cheap day looking over the most beautiful harbour in the world http://www.sydneyforall.com/RoyalBotanicGardens.html

This is a great place to spend a few hours away from the main harbour area. It is only a few minutes walk from the opera house and you can walk all the way round in a circle. There is a cafe and shop in the gardens and as usual plenty of different plants etc.

The views of the harbor, the various plants, especially those indigenous to Australia is very nice! It is quite a large area in the heart of Sydney, and a great place to relax or go for a jog, stroll, or picnic. I loved it!

lovely, gorgeous, fun, interesting. Even if you don't go for the botannicals, go for the views. There are sometimes events on in the gardens so it's worth checking what's on before you go.
