Sorry but Bondi didn't meet my expectations on the day of our visit. Unfortunately it was cold and wet and the beach was deserted. We saw one brave gentlemen swimming and another young dude surfing and that for us, was Bondi.

I was in Sydney for a week from US and didn't know much about the area, most of the locals I talked to told me to check out Bondi beach and I was very happy I did. I took a Uber and went alone, it was a 20min drive from cbd, stunning place I got to see more of the... More

Do not go here if you're not a big fan of crowds. Heaps of travellers from all over the globe go here. Other than that, though, it's a nice place if you plan to just be with the family in the sun, surf a wave or two, and definitely a brilliant place to see the sunrise.

If you don't like crowds, don't go to Bondi Beach on a really hot day. Because it's a beach, with cool water, so that is where everyone else is going, too. We went to Bondi twice on 2 successive hot days, and had a brilliant time. The kids loved being in the surf with Dad; their Mums loved lying on... More

Bondi beach is the most visited beach by tourists. Spend a laid back day and have fun with the sun on your back, the sand, the surf and the sea. The word Bondi in Aboriginal means "water breaking over the rocks". Its a nice restful place where you can drive all your worries away and relax in life.

This iconic beach is worth the visit if you have time and want to spend some time on the beach. Several places to eat or get gelato too. Changing rooms are typical of a beach area. Bondi beach is the place the Speedo was invented and is still today supporting the local life guards!

Super easy to get to from central Sydney, however, since the weather was too cold, there wasn't a LOT of action on the beach. There were some surfers, kids on skateboards and people running/ walking dogs, but you couldn't just paddle in the water. Nice places to eat and grab a beer around, but expensive owing to it's location.

I admit that i have not visited watson bay but this is my favourite. What a view.. ocean looks blue. Water is cool , waves are superb. I had to literally drag my wife away from this beach to go to wollongong. Only problem is the parking. Parking nearby is very expensive. If you need to save money, you have... More

We took a city tour bus and passed in front of the beach, where we stopped for about 1 hour. It is not as spectacular as I was expecting. There are better beaches in Sydney. What is not very attractive if what surrounds the beach. Overall, it is a disappointment, but I am happy to have seen it anyway.
