We visited this beautiful and famous beach for only one day on out trip! It was packed with beautiful bodies, not just women? The very first thing I did was to paddle in to take some photographs of the surf, and got stung by a bluebottle jellyfish! A little later the lifeguards made an announcement there was a shoal of... We heard so much about Bondi Beach that we made sure to include it in our itinerary. It is a very popular and large beach with lots of waves for surfing. They have some nice shops to buy souvenirs. The weather was rainy when we were there. We took pictures of the beach, but there were not many people, so... More

This is a very overrated beach. Mostly mud. Supposedly a "trendy" location but unfortunately we were not impressed.

Famous Bondi beach is nice but honestly I have seen better beaches. We went there by bus and the jouney was pleasant. What impressed us were the great graffiti, the swimmimg pool and surfers students. Dont miss it but dont expect something amazing!

Is this the best beach in Aus or NSW? Hardly. It's mainly because the area is locked in from the north and south by rocky headlands. The nearest beach from here would be Cronulla, which I hear is a better beach by far, or you could go north of here to Manly beach You can see why its attractive, it's... More

The beach is crowded, but it is crowded for a reason: it is beautiful. You never see a crowded ugly beach! If you have a couple of hours and a ton of sunblock, take the trail to Coogee.

Bondi beach is just stunning especially the swimming pool by the sea. We also really liked the street art on the walls along the beach walkway

I am not one of those brave and hearty souls who like swimming in Sydney's seas in all seasons. I'm a hot weather man. But that didn't stop us enjoying a delightful day at the world famous Bondi Beach in June, the middle of Australia's winter. We were visiting friends in Bondi when they suggested we take a picnic to... More

Here's one way to spend your Sunday. We went from the centre by bus to Bronte beach and then walked over to bondii beach - it was very very busy and the path was unpassable at some points due to the sheer number of people. Half way along bondii we'd had enough of the crowds so got on a bus... More

Staying in Bondi Beach

Neighborhood Profile
Bondi Beach
An iconic Australian suburb, Bondi Beach is famous for its fantastic beaches and views. Once the domain of backpackers, hundreds of tourists from all over the world descend en masse to Bondi in December ready to enjoy the "Aussie summer". Bondi Beach boasts impressive ocean views all along the many restaurants and bars on Campbell Parade. Wake up early and take a dip in the surf before walking the scenic stretch from Bondi to Coogee Beach. Stroll through the Saturday organic markets in North Bondi or grab some fish and chips and relax in the grassy area opposite the beach. For more upscale cuisine, head down to Hall Street where a range of new eateries have recently opened. Just make sure to save enough energy for the buzzing nightlife Bondi Beach has to offer.
