Simply amazing! Watch out for the rip current it will pull you out fast. Great place to hang out and watch the surfers. Beautiful place for a sunset. Do not forget like we did that the water is cold during the winter but still worth a swim. more

The walk between Coogee and Bondi is well worth the effort, amazing scenery. Start from Coogee and end with the amazing view of Bondi Beach. more

We visited here one day when we stayed in Sydney. Its about 50min bus ride but easliy found! The area around Bondi is nothing much to look at, but once you are on the beach it is beautiful! There are plenty of shops and places to eat. There is a 50m pool in a club at one end which costs... more

Bondi is well known for its great sandy beach, as well as its surf. It is a modern and trendy coastal resort, which is very popular. Bondi has a number of cafes and restaurants which look out over the beach and makes a great place to stay and visit. more

Sydney's (indeed, Australia's) most famous beach, Bondi lures people from around the world with its promise of sun, sand, surf and exposed skin, and all just 8km from the CBD. The average water temperature is a pleasant 21°C. If you don't like it rough, there are saltwater swimming pools at either end. You can also see Aboriginal rock engravings a... more

Bondi is one of the most well-known beaches of Australia. This is probably simply because it's one of Sydney's favourite beaches. As a local of North Queensland, I have grown up around much nicer beaches than Bondi. As someone who has travelled all over the country, I can say that there are dozens of better beaches around our country. If... more

We took the Bondi Explorer bus to get to Bondi beach, expecting it to be one of the most amazing beaches you can visit, due to its fame. Admittedly the weather wasn't great. It was cold, windy and the beach was empty. But to be honest I've visited a lot of beaches around the world and this didn't really do... more

We visited on 02-Jan-09 and there was trash in the water and a pantiliner in the sand next to us. It was crowded, dirty, disgusting and a waste of time. I had expected more of a beach in Australia, but found myself thinking how much NICER the New Jersey beaches are!!! It was so frustrating to travel so far, spend... more

I just recently stayed at Bondi beach in Sydney, AU. It was a great experience. The beach is the safest place to swim I am told by the locals. There are a lot of great places to eat around the area. You can have everything from fish and chips to Turkish and Israeli cuisine. I stayed at the Bondi apartments... more

Want a NICE beach and a bit of peace? Take an extra 15 minutes to head further south to Marboubra beach. As big and beatuiful as Bondi, but literally less than 1 tenth of the crowd. Beautiful spot and good surf. Easy to park and public transport (buses) also. more
