Was very surprised how big this beach was ! really windy so felt cold - bought myself a fleecy sweatshirt with Bondi Beach on !! I arrived on the local bus from the City Centre - it took longer than we expected as there is lots of traffic and it is quite a way - took approx 45 mins there... More

Fine, white sand beach... vast parking space... one of the popular beaches among all other fantastic, must-visit waters in Sydney. Perfect place to walk or jog and move from Bondi to another beach in a 1-hr stroll. Vast seashore seems to never get crowded even when plenty locales and tourists flock the area during ordinary days.

Nowhere near as big as you think but a beautifully clean beach and well worth a visit. Transport links are good from Sydney (Blue Explorer Bus takes you all the way there and back for AUD40 each). Cafes are good and clean, if a little expensive and the gift shops are excellent. A good afternoon out and worth doing the... More

What a beautifully expansive, clean beach with a really well maintained boardwalk and pavilion. We Loved everything about this area. It is a spectacular beach community and the people, both visitors and locals alike were all warm and friendly. I wish I could have spent far more time here. Remember to bring a hat and sunscreen as there isn't a... More

Everyone is talking about it, lots of stories told. I think its worth the trip. its a long stretch of sandy beach, followed by some grass to hang out and restaurants across the street. The sand beach is rather wide and full of surfers during summer. We ate at the famous Hurrican Ribs BBQ restaurant which was really tasty, reservation... More

Bondi Beach is very beautiful. We visited in August so it was a bit cold, but we actually went for a swim and it was great! Locals say they go swimming all year long, so we decided to give it a go as well. It's a great family location, very friendly and relaxing. Many nice cafes around the beach, so... More

I don't think that Bondi beach quite matched my expectations. Firstly I couldn't believe how small it was. For some reason I thought it was going to be a lot bigger. It is undoubtedly beautiful & there were plenty of all year round surfers doing their thing even in winter. It was a sunny day so the walk we took... More

Great time at Bondi Beach. But it was quite a bit smaller than expected. Pretty crowded for a weekday during Australian Fall, but still very enjoyable. Waves were big and there are some places to eat and shop right by the beach. Scenic, so bring your camera. There are public showers and changing rooms. Bring a beach towel!

We visited in August- it was windy and cold- but you have to visit Bondi if in Sydney! Even in winter, although much quieter, a great spot for watching surfers as you enjoy cake and coffee in the waterfront cafe. The coastal walk to Coogee is lovely with plenty of rest points and some children's play parks along the way.
