Bondi! WOW! What a good looking beach! Great day trip, with good bus access. Fun shops to surround and friendly people all around.

Visited the beach in Dec 2006. We had a seafood lunch in one of the restaurants and then walked to the far end of the beach where we relaxed at a massive bar. Well worth a visit.

We visited Bondi Beach during June (winter time). Fortunately the sun was out in the afternoon. Few surfers were there, but mainly it was quiet. the omnipresent Seagull everywhere. The eateries around the beach would offer all kinds of cuisine. The waters were absolutely clean and i would have loved to jump in the water during summer time. Must visit,... More

We were there with rainfall so not so beautiful as expected. The sea was very wild, with very high waves, it was exciting...but I've seen much nicer beaches than this one.

A beach! Manley beach is pretty similar, there were more people there. We visited because we felt we had to - a visit in July was cool, there were maybe 5 surfers doing there thing....not a lot as there was not much of a swell. It's the home of Speedo's and Aussie life savers. We have been, seen and that... More

Bondi seems to be a "must do" when visiting the area. The beach is deep, soft sand that leads to beautiful rolling waves. It is very convenient with surfboard, umbrella and chair rentals all on the beach (affordably). Just across the street you can get food and drink. There are public bathrooms available too. However, this is not my first... More

The beach is nice, clean beach, the sand is so soft at your feet. Shops and foods are around the beach so you won't feel hungry and thirsty after playing all day in the beach. The bad thing is sometimes the beach can be crowded and too windy.

To be fair, the beach is clean but it's rather small and it is a beach. Unless you're a surfer (which i'm not) i think there's a lot of better beaches out there - Specially in the winter time. Anyhow the stores and the walk in front of the beach are more interesting. You can find lots of local goods,... More

a more surfers beach than Manly, better breaks but cold Pacific Indian water, I still say Perth has best beaches in Australia by far, lovely white sand, warm Indian Ocean water. Bondi has great shops and facilities near by.

I have no idea what the hype is all about. It's just a beach after all. You can't even get a decent swim if the waves are high. And there's barely a spot of shade for people who burn easily.
