This was a great place to watch the surfers and play in the water. It is a beautiful white sand beach and was not at all crowded. It has many shops and restaurants to choose from and the people were very helpful and friendly. I believe this is a must see when visiting Sydney.

Overcrowded especially on hot summers days. Plenty of other beaches that offer better facilities, swimming and space. Full of posers and wannabe's.

For those not familiar with the name or location "Bondi" or "Boondi" is said to be an Aboriginal word meaning water breaking over rocks or noise of water breaking over rocks. I have also discovered that the Australian Museum records that' Bondi' means place where a flight of nullas took place.By tghe way a 'nulla' is an Aboriginal war club... More

I think a visit to this iconic beach is a must if you are in Sydney. It was not over crowded and was nice watching the surfers. There are some nice places to eat nearby.

Well what to say... It's a beach, and of course a beautiful one, but that's it. Great place to relax while in Sydney. The waves do get quite extreme so a good tip is to swim between the two flags.

Had so much to see and do in Sydney we nearly didn't make it but so glad we did. Didn't encounter any crowds while we were there. Disappointed not to see any handsome surfer dudes !!!!! Made our own way on the bus and stayed for lunch and a look round the shops. Thought the beach was lovely. We had... More

What a beautiful beach and boardwalk. The beach is a bit crowded but it is so beautiful I can understand the crowds wanting to be there. The boardwalk area is filled with shops and restaurants. Well worth a visit

I found Bondi Beach to be a waste of 1/2 of a day - that is, 3 hours getting there/back and 1 hour actually there. There's nothing here but the beach itself. Access was horrible - long downhill ride (on a bicycle) or walk through depressed little commercial pockets, no nice places to eat or good pubs near the beach,... More

the beach is sandy, golden and beautiful, the water blue and clear. its a fantastic stretch of beach but its super crowded and occasionally prone to bluebottles-stinging jellyfish, not fun to tangle with!!. it has plenty of beachside amenities in terms of bars and shops, its not quite as awesome as Byron Bay in my view but its still pretty...
