Upon exiting the Manly Ferry Terminal, a quick walk across the intersection puts youon this walkway. It's extremely wide and shady with lots of benches and fountains for one to enjoy. There are lots of shops and places to eat as you make your way to the beach area.

We loved the walk from Manly to Shelley Beach. We also went to St Patrick's estate which was worth a look

We took the ferry from Sydney to Manly and while it was crowded... completely worth it. The beach is lovely (soft sand, beautiful water), the food is better-than-average beach food and the people watching is fun. We rented towels for $5 and read on the beach for a few hours. Bring your sunscreen, though!

We did the whole hike from Manly to Spit and it was some of the most beautiful coastline we've ever been to! It's probably considered moderate difficulty, and you'll definitely need good sneakers or hiking shoes. Some of the walk is along several different sandy beaches too, but most is in the cover of trees rocky and small parts are... More

Went to Manly on ferry and then picked map up at info station and headed off. Easy to follow path with great views, Not for walking impaired and l don't think for little children, some of the sandstone steps a little slippery but with runners on it perfect. Toilets along way, you need to take own water and no cafes... More

Manly is a beautiful place, and the beach is fabulous! I think it's one of the best beaches in Sydney, I liked it better than Bondi! :)

Takes 2 hours, get public bus to Spit bridge, it's not hard, the bus drivers are friendly, and take a walk along the coast, seeing pretty bays, ending at bustiling manly, and catch ferry back to Circular Quay. Not suitable for people in wheelchair, with mobility aids beyond a walking stick, or at falls risk.

Take the bus to Spit Bridge to the start of this walk. Over about 7 kilometres it follows the shoreline and climbs up to the imposing heights of Dobroyd Head before descending ( 300 steps!) to a gentle harbour side approach into Manly. (Don't forget to see the Aboriginal rock art on the way). Do it this way as the... More

we walked from Spit to Manly which was a lovely walk with loads of great scenery, wildlife and views across the water. Finishing in Manly and getting ferry back just topped off the experience.
