The track is mostly covered in shade so it's perfect for a sunny day. On the way from spit bridge to manly there are public toilets, parks, and beaches for a break.

Make sure to pick a map at the tourism info! The walk is a nice experience of North Head and Sydney Harbor National Park. Walking shoes recommended... The ice-cream in Manly is well-deserved...

Beautiful walk and easy half-day trip for Sydney. Wish I had planned longer so enough time to walk through National Park.

We took the ferry to Manly and it was OK. We enjoyed the German bar at the harbour but the shops were just OK. We did happen upon their community Christmas outdoor concert and it was very nice and fun to see the families and how they celebrate in Australia.

Took a return ferry trip from Circular Quay to Manly, really nice, comfortable ferry ride. Great walk including through the National Park, but I got lost at Collins beach and couldn't find the way to go forward, so had to track back. I wasn't expecting to go on this little adventure when I decided to visit Manly, but it was... More

Compared to the Coogee/Bondi walk, this one is short. But, it's totally worth it if you're venturing to Manly beach. Nice scenery and some small shops along the way to stop in to.

Stroll along the Manly beach from one end to the other and then along the scenic walkways and paths to discover 'Australia' and it's nature.

Last Sunday I made the trip from downtown Sydney to Manly with the ferry. No clue what to expect, but when I arrived there it was really amazing. What a wonderful surf beach and fantastic scenery views. Also the atmosphere and the people there were great. This waves here are more rough compared to f.e. the famous Bondi beach. The... More
