If you come to Sydney you have to tour the Opera house. The tour package cost approximately $95. The tour guide is very knowledgeable and explains the architecture and the history very well. The only drawback is that you are not allowed to take photographs inside the auditoriums. I still think it is really valuable to take to tour if... More

Even just wandering around the outside is a nice experience. The articture of the building is amazing. When I went my wife wanted to go to the Toris Amos concert that was playing there at the time. I went along even though it wasn't my cup of tea. Going inside the Opera house was the biggest draw for me. OK... More

I have never experienced an opera before , so I decided to watch Don Carlo . I had no idea how would it be , whether I would fall asleep , it didn't dissapoint me . It mesmerized me . Even though I had reserved the cheapest tickets I thoroughly enjoyed it . My next visit will be in a... More

A must to do when in Sydney. Walk around the Opera House and have a drink outside with the Bridge in the back ground. The pigeons are a big pest. It is the epicenter of the city as you can walk to the Botanic gardens, Mrs. Macquarie's Chair and up to the Art Gallery. Or you can catch a ferry... More

Perhaps the most iconic symbol of Australia and hence a must see. But also for the great architecture and the accoustics inside the opera house are quite superb.

Have attended symphony concerts and small recitals and all have been excellent. The concert hall and the utzon room are both superb venues. Also attended a play at the drama theatre which is also an excellent venue. Harder to get a table at the mozart bistro now so usually eat at the opera kitchen on the harbourfront before concerts now.

Very interesting that the painting of the body of the Opera House is simply structured by the tiles on it. Simple and amazing.

Very impressing architecture, fireworks on New Years Eve are the most amazing ones I've ever seen! You can also have dinner or lunch there with a stunning view to the Harbour Bridge or take photographs from Mrs Macquarie's Chair.
