A must see its a very accommodating venue with a high degree of tolerance for the common folk in shorts and slippers along with the highbrow attendees of opera. We couldn't afford their tours but even otherwise the staff were very friendly and would accommodate our questions and queries. the toilets and washrooms are a life saver. and not to... More

Majestic. Awe-inspiring. Gorgeous. It was a singular thrill of my life to take a picture in front of it. I'm an intrepid tourist, not an opera fan, so I love this joke (even if I can't attest to its veracity) -- "Australia has the world's greatest opera house...the outside is in Sydney and the inside is in Melbourne!"

Went to the show Ghost Stories which was excellent. Had dinner before the show at the Opera kitchen. Food was nice but it was very busy so service was a little slow.

An iconic attraction. Who would actually come to Sydney and consider not visiting the opera house? Stop by for a play in the theatre too if you can!

Incredible building, with magnificent views. If you are only one day in Sydney this is the only place to visit, you'll have it all. If you can book a guided tour in the opera.

Beautiful landmark facility, don't miss taking the tour. Also, attend an event such as a concert or opera. It's world class. We also enjoyed having a drink in the outside cafe.
