Spectacular architecture and dazling to behold from any angle, the Opera house delivers on every level. On this visit, we saw it threefold - as a backdrop for spectacular Vivid light displays, inside for drinks and a show, and then again in the morning, dazzling in the twinkling sun on the Harbour. Life doesn't get much better than that x

Being a resident of Sydney I have been to the Opera House a number of times and every time I come I am not disappointed. The sound in all the concert halls is exquisite and the seating arranged to assure all concert goers a good view. There is usually plenty of variety in music and performance tastes on offer at... Had a tourist card with a friend and included was a tour around the opera house. It was amazing and learning the history was great. The structural design and the physics behind the structures in the opera house was incredible on how it worked. Well worth it.

Mandatory attraction in Sydney. There is no charge to visit, only if you want to watch some play. Worth a visit just for the amazing view of the monument, the city and the Harbor Bridge. An incredible bar is also available.

Unless you have money to burn, skip the expensive tours and stick with the basic. I think it was 37 AUD when we were there and covered the entire building and it's history and construction. Well worth it. If you can, go early. More of the venues are open and not as many people.

Enjoyed a guided tour, hearing the story behind the construction and walking out onto the roof. Also lovely place to eat and drink outside on the terraces. We went to the outdoor opera in the bay, which we reached by ferry boat from beside the opera house, which would have been lovelier had there not been a thunderstorm. However, we... More

Like so many iconic buildings one is familiar with from magazines and tv, the Opera House does not disappoint in the flesh. My wife and I are not opera buffs, but we went to watch a performance of Madama Butterfly and thoroughly enjoyed it. Drinks on the terrace before and during the interval are a treat. There are also many... More

Since the completion of the Opera House in 1973 it has attracted worldwide acclaim for its design and construction, enhanced by its location on Bennelong Point within a superb harbour setting. Viewed from a ferry or the air, the vision is dramatic and unforgettable. But for the world traveller who has enjoyed the opera houses of Europe, it is a... More

See a piece of history and take a tour to learn all the behind the scenes tidbits. Very interesting to see and hear about the building of this beautiful structure.
