Looking at the Sydney Opera house in many light conditions over a few days it is still beautiful and impressive. Truly a unique architectural accomplishment. The city of Sydney does seem to be centered around it with lots of the city both north and south of it and people attending events there. In a short week stay in Sydney we... More

The backstage tour was very interesting. We even saw part of the dress rehearsal for Horrible Histories and heard the story of the building. When we purchased the tour tickets we were given discount vouchers. This allowed us to see the evening show Rigoletto for 99 dollars a seat, quite a saving. So if you are there several days and... Too many people for my liking. It is a world class place, but I was expecting more. Sorry, just being honest. Beaches, bridge etc are a better place to hang out

The tours are informative and worth the cost. You get more than just some pretty outside pictures. The facility is as amazing inside as it is outside. This icon of all of Australia was built not without some controversy. The history of the site, it's construction, and then views of several of the performance venues are all included. This isn't... The Opera House is a beautiful architectural building, and always worth visiting when in Circular Quay. Very few buildings in the world seem to change personalities like it does as the weather and environment change, and it takes on a new personality when events like Vivid are happening. It took me years to actually go inside the Opera House, and... More

The Opera House is an icon in Sydney, and can be viewed by walking around the Opera House, by taking a guided tour inside, or better yet, see an Opera at the Opera House. That's what we did earlier this year, and it was fantastic. Well worth the money.

We wanted to see an opera at the iconic house but we weren't sure on seating. A friend suggested taking the tour first (were already planning on a tour) and checking them out. The tour is totally worth it! Great to hear the story about the architecture. Even if you aren't an architecture buff or opera buff, I think you'll... More

We went to a concert in one of the smaller theatres and found that the acoustics were better than in the main theatre. The outside of the building is so amazing, it is perhaps a bit of a letdown when you are inside. Although there is a lift to avoid having to climb up a great many steps, it becomes... More
