Rather than do a tourist tour, we booked seats for a Beethoven concert in the main hall. This allowed us to explore the building as well. We has cheap seats at the back but the view was still stunning and the acoustic wonderful. The area at the back of the hall also allows you to get some nice pictures across... More

We took the tour of the inside of the Opera House as part of a Sydney iventure pass, you can book it yourself though and there is also the option to do the behind the scenes tour. This was a tour of the building and a look inside some of the theatres but not a true behind the scenes. Our... More

We did a tour of the Opera House and it was interesting to see inside and hear how it was built and the difficulties associated with the unusual design.

At last we managed a tour of the Opera House and were not disappointed. Did the hour tour which took us to three of the theatres. The building is as amazing as its design and construction history is fascinating. After listening to some of the facts and figures, you don't have to be a student of architecture to appreciate this... More

Went here with three kids under duress from the wife What a pleasant surprise!!!!!! We went on a guided tour and were given headsets which just amplified what the guide was saying. The tour was really informative and the guide was passionate about her workplace The guide consisted of walking around the building, going inside, seeing a couple of the... More

By booking a tour and a night at the Opera you will receive a package of benefits to use at the Opera Bar, cafes and restaurants at this truly unique venue. The tour guide was excellent and took us behind the scenes to show the fantastic architecture and story behind the venue. The Opera "Madame Butterfly" was a treat. The... More

Took the opera house tour which is about an hour. It brought us into the different halls and was very interesting. Guide relayed many historical and technical facts about the construction of the opera house. Opted for it as one of the attractions under our iVenture card which is really value for money.

A little pricey but well worth it. Bright and early 7am tour included a lovely breakfast (yes - even gluten free options!) at the end. Miss Vicki was a fabulous guide - so personable and knowledgeable. You will see ALL the theaters, including walking onto the stages, walking amongst the rigging, backstage areas, dressing rooms, the green room (commissary). Learn... More

Everyone recognizes the Sydney Opera House. When we were in Sydney fifteen years ago, we made the mistake of not visiting the interior. My husband and I vowed if we were ever to return, we would be sure to tour the grounds and the interior. Our guide was delightful and quite enthusiastic about the Opera House, and we caught her...
