Iconic building known the world over. Thought it was going to be brilliant white but it is made of tiles that are a cream colour with gold trim. We went in to the building to the ticket purchase are which feels uninspired. But believe they're planning on doing work to the internals. Didn't get into see any shows

So many words have been written to eulogise about this world heritage building.. Nothing I could add would do it justice... A great 20th century architectural masterpiece.... It is beautiful. Make sure you go on the " Back Stage Tour " .. Fascinating, well worth the charge, it takes you behind the scene's into another world and includes breakfast in... More

Sydney Opera house is a very impressive building and it's worth doing a guided tour with audio information. The information is priceless and worth it. I recommend watching a play or show in the Opera house. They do student discounts :)

SOH, or Sydney Opera House, was one of the most controversial projects in the history of New South Wales, except perhaps for the foundation of Sydney amongst the local Aboriginal populations! SOH ran hugely over budget, there was numerous delays and the architect and chief supervisor walked off the job in disgust at the way things were being handled. I... More

Never seems to age, even though others seem to think so. This icon of Sydney never ceases to facinate me. Take a ferry cruise and see it from different angles. Absolutely marvelous.

I didn't see an opera, and I didn't even take an official tour, but even being in the shadow of this great piece of architecture was enough for me, and if you are fortunate enough to make it down here to the southern hemisphere, then you too will know what I mean! When you get up close, you can notice... More

There is nothing more beautiful, prestigious, and iconic as the Sydney Opera House. You cannot visit Sydney without seeing this magnificent structure in person. At any angle, the Opera House leaves you in awe; however, I personally think the best view is from Mrs Macquarie's Chair.

The Opera House has to be seen from all angles to get the full impact of this unique building. Taking the guided tour is a must. The atmosphere is wonderful and the combination of Sydney harbor, the Harbor Bridge and the Opera House is truly spectacular. I'd advise setting time aside to just sit and soak it all up. There...
