I had of course seen dozens of photos of the iconic Sydney Opera House, so I thought I knew what to expect. NOT! The building is breathtaking, almost alive. It was one of the highlights of my trip.

The King and I....we attended this performance and the costumes were spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed the performance and would recommend to anyone visiting the Opera House. It won't disappoint you.

We managed to get tickets for "the King and I" and decided to take the tour on the same day. We were kitted out with a sound system by our tour guide and he provided us with very interesting facts about this architectural highlight. I can understand that the building is not to everybody's liking but it is nevertheless spectacular.... More

Our first night in Sydney and we were walking around the Sydney Opera House, when we chanced upon a poster advertising Bob Dylan that night. On the off chance we checked the ticket office there and managed to get some tickets. So, we got to see the beautiful inside of the opera house and watch Bob Dylan all in one... More

This was a great tour, although a bit pricey, which kept the number of people on the tour down to about a dozen. We saw and learned about all aspects of the theater, visiting everything from the stages to the orchestra pits to the lighting catwalks, to the dressing rooms and the green room (where we had a delightful breakfast... We stopped by briefly and took a quick tour, and there was a huge lego sculpture of the Opera House inside too. Outside were a number of outrageous artworks too. We took the ferry over from Manly beach and just really enjoyed the harbor and watching the boats.

WE approached the Opera House from the Botanic Gardens and as it came into view and I caught my first glimpse I was so excited. It seemed like I had seen it so many times in the media and here I was , actually there. WE had booked a tour and duly arrived and were given a sound system from... More

We took the tour of the opera house and it was a very educating experience - history, architecture, music... We were fortunate to see a musical piece rehearsal during the tour... There are multiple concert halls within the premises and it's nice to have a seat in each of them and seeing these stages being set and listening to live... More
