I always wanted to see the opera. We took the tour and our guide was very informative with a great sense of humor. There's a lot of cafes and restaurants to choose from outside before our tour started. I love the place, inside and outside.

Likes: Took the tour where we had our photos taken beforehand. Was very funny, informative and enjoyable tour with an excellent guide ( Bruce). Didn't have the time to see a production sadly! Dislikes: Have a thing about tacky souvenir shops and this didn't disappoint!! Also, the cost of the tour was quite high...photo should have been included instead of... More

The obvious jewel in Sydney's glorious crown is Circular Quay. This year it is under construction, from the Overseas terminal to Bennelong Point, the Sydney Opera House. There are cranes at one end, construction barricades at the ferry and railway terminals and half of the forecourt of the Opera House is under construction. The fabulous Bennelong Restaurant remains vacant unti... More

There is always something happening here, pictures do not do this place justice. Make sure you take in a show, any show, it is well worth adding this place to your bucket list of things to do.

Our hotel overlooked the opera house, the view summed up why we chose Australia for our 2014 holiday this iconic structure did not disappoint us in any way. We walked round the opera house on our first day and were very satisfied with what we saw. When we got back to our hotel and were looking out to the opera... More

Even though we have seen a lot of photographs and programs about this structure, the feeling you get is indescribable.

We went to see King and I. It was great musical, altough we didn't care much which show they were showing, because we just wanted to see the Opera house. If you are a student ask for student rush tickets, they sell really cheep tickets for some shows just before the show.
