Overall a fun time for kids being on a tall ship and they allow you to go up to the Crow's Nest and get a view of the people on the deck below. You are made welcome although it was crowded and the heads were a bit of a challenge.

If you've lived in Sydney long enough you will recall this rusty frame of a thing high and dry and on display in front of the Maratime Museum. Over the years that rusty skeleton took shape , back to its former glory as the magnificent tall ship we see on Sydney Harbour today. A true labour of love, that deserves a... More

The ship was really interesting with activities during the voyage to keep all age groups occupied. Going out to sea was a quite choppy so not for the faint hearted. All in all we enjoyed the day, but thought that more thought and effort could be put into the food and drink provided for the day. The luncheon was quite... More

The Harman Fish & Ships Cruise with a visit to the James Craig as well as the Heritage Fleet workshop was an eyeopener to see the great work being done by the volunteers. The volunteers operating the cruise were in my opinion the most informative guides I have met, congratulations and many thanks

Run by a volunteer crew, an afternoon motoring around Sydney harbour is a wonderfully slow and gracious way to enjoy all that the harbour has to offer. The historic ship has been lovingly and faithfully restored and is a joy to behold. A glass of wine or a cup of coffee?, your choice! If you have the time and the... More

My husband watched the James Craig towed into Sydney harbour in 1981 and always dreamt of sailing on her once she was restored. Last weekend, this finally became reality for us. It was a very stormy weekend, to much delight of my husband. The winds were strong and the waves were big - exactly what he wished for. The James... More

Took our 5 year old grandson here, he is really in to pirates so he enjoyed it! He loved climbing over the ship and going down below to see where the crew slept. Very interesting tour guide shows you through. Well worth a visit and in such a pretty spot on Darling Harbour.

I loved how this vessel had been refurbished and was ready to go out to sea a few days after my visit at Pyrmont Wharf. Below deck is brilliant, with basic but intriguing decor and the staff are friendly and helpful. I want to go out to sea on this vessel when I am next able.

I traveled as a passenger on the ship on the aborted trip to Hobart. This did not matter at all as I had the best experience. Discovering that I could overcome my fear of heights and climb the mast was a brilliant and life changing experience. Even if you don't go to that level you would have to be a... More
