We went on Sydney Great Escapes on a recent trip to Sydney where we already had a hotel room in Sydney and did not want to do an over-night. Rob (the drive tour guide) picked us up from our hotel around 7am and we were back in the city about 5pm. Some of the stops are likely party of many... More

We had an amazing day with Rob in the Blue Mountains. He is an incredibly friendly and informative guide who is clearly passionate about the area. He knows all the places to stop to avoid the crowds and was able to tell us so much about everything we were seeing. The wildlife park was a great stop and we were... More

After reading the many rave reviews, this was the tour we opted for and have no regrets! As arranged, Rob arrived at our hotel exactly on time, and the good times began. There were eight of us entertained from 7ish a.m. until a bit after 4. As other reviewers have indicated, Rob is fun, knowledgeable, and genuinely concerned for the... More

Each group is small and everyone can interact with the the driver/tour guide who was great at providing historical background information about Australia. The Featherdale wildlife park, the lunch, the hike in the mountains, and the dramatic blue mountains themselves, all made for a wonderful experience.

Our first trip to the Blue Mountains and we couldn't have enjoyed it more due to Rob our driver. Only 12 of us on the small bus. Rob was very knowledgeable and kept everyone amused. We also arrived at Featherdale before the other tour buses which made viewing the wildlife uninterrupted. The lunch at the hotel was adequate. The return... More

Had a great time on this tour. We got to Featherdale before it opened, so it was not crowded and the animals were hungry. Thirty minutes later when the big tours got there and the place was crowded and the animals were no longer interested in food. Lunch was excellent and the trip to the hike at Blue Mountains was... This is a nice day trip, the Skyway and Scenic Railway are both a good way to see the rugged beautiful scenery from above and the rainforest below. A stop at Featherdale Park to see the animals was nice as you can pet and view them up close. Have your picture petting the koalas & kangaroos.

We really enjoyed the tour of Blue Mountains. Bob is an excellent tour guide. I would recommend it to everyone :) I wish he offered also other tours. I'd definitely take it while in Sydney.

There is a very scenic but steep walk down near the scenic railway at Katoomba. Once at the bottom there is a walk along to an old coal mine or you can walk further afield, depending on how much time you have, as it is fairly level walking. When you walk to return to the top of the cliffs, catch... More

A fantastic day. We started early so we could get to the Wildlife Preserve while it was uncrowded the animals were still active. Then onward, to incredible scenery. We made a loop through the mountains. We got to hike and (for an extra charge) ride a railroad and ski lift with amazing views. We ended with a ferry ride back... More
