Compare to my experience with NZ wineries -Northland and Martinbough, Hawk Bay, Hunter Valley disappointed me. It was very commercial, crowded, selling oriented and boring including Chocolate shop and cheese shops. Yet everything is of poor value but expensive. It certain is big but nothing as far as cultural or educational values are concerned. Of course there are good wineries... More

As Hunter is so close I picked these guys for my tour. Tristan/TJ was excellent. Caused a great atmosphere and have us enough information bit not too much. Long day but well worth it. The Blueberry Hill boutique vineyard was tops. David over from UK.

Tristan picked us up from bondi and woolloomooloo, visited 5 vineyards 3 cheese tasters and a wonderful chocolate barn. Beautiful warm and sunny day very much helped by the wine tasting and the local knowledge and expertise of our non wine-drinking driver! Lovely eclectic mix of Scots, Irish, English, Swedish and Chinese and our driver found something for all if... More

Probably the best tour I've ever been on. We took the tour on 22nd September, I've totally forgot the name of the tour guide but he was brilliant. Really friendly, really informative and made the whole day so much fun. We got to taste a good selection of wines from a decent mix of wineries and we were suitably sloshed... More

This was by far one of the BEST tours we've done. Half a dozen wineries plus lunch in one day, plus a cheese store and chocolate shoppe stop! Driven in a Mercedes mini-van, it was a 12 hour tour, but not once did it seem like a long day! Most of the companies that do these tours are priced comparably... More

My wife and I and two of our friends had a wine tasting tour with Robert from Hunter Valley wine tasting tours. Robert was a great host. We got to visit some cellar doors that you wouldn't normally see and even had a blending room tour and barrel room tasting, something most walk up punters wouldn't get. We will be... More

We had a great wine tasting tour with Robert. As he is also a wine maker he had contacts! He took us behind the scenes at one of the wineries & we had our own private wine tasting with the bubbly Margo! Nothing was too much trouble for Robert who went above & beyond to please all of our different... More

Our tour guide Collum was very knowledgable of wine and pretty good with his knowledge of Hunter Valley. The wineries chosen were excellent in the beginning; Ridge View and Travertine, Tintilla and the Hunter Resort had fantastic tastings but was very disappointed with Tempus Two winery tasting. We ended up going down a few "stalls" and had a fantastic tasting... More

We visited 3 wineries, 2 cellars, and had olive, cheese, and chocolate tastings all in one day. Our guide was great, very friendly and knowledgeable, and our tour group was nice and small. If I had to do it again I would not eat so much at lunch (Blue Tongue Brewery) or have the beer tasting, we were overfull for... More

My boyfriend and I went on the Hunter Valley wine tasting tour in early August, and had a terrific day. Our driver was very helpful and friendly, the mini bus was comfortable, all of the wineries we visited were different and very cool, the lunch was great, and the Hunter Valley region itself was amazing! I would highly recommend this... More
