Worth a trip to the Blue Mountains. On the way check out Norman Lindsays Art Gallery/Museum at Faulconbridge, be sure and drop in to The Candy store at Leura and there are lots of great shops and cafes here too. Our favourite cafe is the Red door Cafe (they do a great breakfast and good coffee), Bygone Beautys has a great...

without going too far from the city, we were able to see part of Australia's natural sights. we were lucky the fog cleared after riding the cable car. by the time we had lunch, the sights were great for picture taking. the sky train was exciting too. take the triple pass.
the tour bus driver was a great find! Been...

What an amazing place. Went twice during my two month stay, firstly with a tour group (Oztrek) and then later for two nights by taking the train from Sydney. The guided tour was extremely useful for tourists such as myself with a limited time as all the main sites are seen with some gentle hiking. Amazing views, great scenery (...

Not sure if this refers to a particular tour company or not. We chose to catch a cab to the city train station...clean and well-appointed trains...which was an inexpensive way to get to Katoomba where the Three Sisters scenic view is. Once there, suggest catching the Blue Mountains Explorer hop on/hop off bus to take you to the scenic walks...

There are various tours available but we decided to do our own thing by taking the train out to Katoomba & joining the "hop on/hop off" bus. It left us free to choose what we went to & what we missed, as well as being flexible about which trains we took. They have a very informative information office and a...

There are many and varied tours from Sydney into the Blue Mountains, at varying prices too. We chose "Os Trail" and had a great day out. Our tour guide "Mouse" (who looked as far from a mouse as you could get) was mad, manic but so funny and extremely clever and informative.
The Blue Mountains on a sunny day are...

I'm a big fan of this travel company. I would recommend it to everyone.
This particular trip is gorgeous. Word to the wise: dress appropriately. Athletic clothing and shoes are most suitable. Keep it mind that the hiking paths are often muddy with lots of puddles. Also consider that the hike includes a few narrow stretches along the side of...

Our family of 4 adults took a day trip from Sydney. An easy bus trip and can see everything in one day--the waterfalls, 3 sisters, incline ride etc. Make sure your bus operator has the large, full size buses!!! Ours looked that in the picture but was not--no restroom and too tight to sit comfortably in our seats.

from Central for a small fraction of the cost, you breeze right by the buses stuck in highway traffic. You can purchase a package ticket to Katoomba with a hop-on/off bus tour around all the village.
