A look into the past

Several ship tours dot the harbour in Sydney. Even without the tour, you can get an idea on the history of sailing by just looking at the evolution of the ships over time.

Took lunch trip with unlimited drinks. Only about 15 on trip so lots of room to move. Beautiful day so able to put up sails. Roast meats and salad were good. Excellent commentary by Andrew which was informative and entertaining. All the crew were lovely. Fantastic way to see the harbour and go back in time . If you like... More

We took a lunch time trip leaving at 1.45pm. Everybody was crowded under a tarp at the front which was not particularly comfortable. We moved to the rear when the ship started, but this meant we couldn't hear the commentary. Nor would it have been as pleasant on a colder or wetter day, or a warmer day. Nibbles were distributed... We did an ourdeal voucher for a 2 hr twilight cruise with dinner and free flowing drinks which included one mast climb which somehow got lost in the system but lovely Julie Paine from Sydney Harbour Tallships ticket booth took care of that for us.When we arrived we looked a bit lost trying to seek out the Tallship Cruise when... Dusk boarding at Campbell's Cove amazing view of the Opera House- organised and efficient - dinner served not a la carte but who would expect that on a Tall Ship 2 hour cruise. Meal fine ,champagne flowing like water- experience of being below decks listening to the water on the old wooden bulkheads very atmospheric- heads were said to be... More

We had a gift voucher that had expired and after much encouragement sydney tall ships agreed to let us use it. Good decision! We had a relaxing 2 hour cruise around the Harbour with a buffet lunch and open bar included. Great value(even though it was our kids who paid)staff were friendly and knowledgeable and fun was had by all.... More

Spent my birthday on the lunch cruise of the Soren Larsen tall ship was amazing. The captain was a weather worn master, really friendly and happy to give the kids and adults a go at sailing. The crew were amazing and I even managed to climb the mast - which I recommend to anyone and everyone - although my jelly... More

My partner and I did an evening cruise that included dinner and an unlimited bar. The ship had great character and the live music added great atmosphere. We were very lucky with the weather and had a really great experience. I was very impressed with the quality of the sparkling wine available and the food while basic was tasty and... More

We booked a cruise for our family of 4 on the first night of Sydney's Vivid Festival back in May of this year. Our package included a hot buffet and free bar. We had read mixed reviews about the service, food etc and so boarded with trepidation, but despite the truly awful weather (we got soaked!) we had a really... More
