As I have lived in Sydney my entire life I often forget what a beautiful city I live in. On the couple of occasions every year when I am required to take a ferry I realise that I am lucky to live in a city that is built around such a beautiful natural landmark.

Easy and convenient access, this is the best way to get around Sydney with a great view along the way. The best routes are Circular Quay to Darling Harbour and Manly Beach. Beautiful views while you make your way to your destination.

There is so much to see on the harbour, whether it be the Opera House and Harbour Bridge and or some of the further suburbs - either way, the best way to enjoy the beauty of Sydney is to spend a few hours on the harbour just meandering around the myriad of sights. Great value and less stressful than driving... More

It is a thrilling experience. The ferry boats are very good. They give full entertainment, good dinner and what not. Their staff is also very courteous. Sea gulls accompany us throughout the ferry.

The best way to get to Manly is by Ferry from Circular Quay. Plenty of choices to choose from seating inside, outside, upstairs. If you have an Opal Card make use of the $2.50 all day travel on Sundays. You won't get cheaper than this. The ferries are pretty good and quite stable. Don't think you will get sea sick... More

Your stayed in sydney is not complete if you do not use the ferry system. Its a fast adn cheap way to access everywhere you want to go and at the same time it gives you a feel of what is like living by the most famous harbor in the world.

Buy a $2.50 ticket and explore the harbour, from Manly, Taronga Zoo and other points. Great service for visiting tourists

This is an excellent service which links to buses on shore and will get you to just about every worthwhile point on the harbour. Some minor signage difficulties: such as an indication as to which wharf F4 or F6 is leaving from at Circular Quay would help. If it was there it wasn't obvious. We just asked one of their... More
