My favourite is the Manly Ferry which is a decent trip on the harbour for a very small price. All the other ferries I have been on have also been good, just not as long a trip. Hop off, get an icecream, wander around and get the ferry back. Brilliant budget tourism.

You can buy a day pass for AUD12 which allows you to hop on and off the ferries all day. I went to Manly then up the Parramatta River. It was so relaxing and the man on the ferries was very helpful.

If you want to get somewhere and you don't mind taking the scenic route, then taking a ferry is the way to go. If you can wait until Sunday it only costs $2.50 for the whole day. Go to Paramatta and have a long day out while stopping off at other wharf's in between for a quick bite to eat.

We caught a Fast ferry to manly. It was just Amazeballs. It took about 15mins to get to Manly and you even get to buy alcohol on board. A drink while taking in The Best Harbour in the world. The return trip was just overwhelming. The lights of the city and the Harbour Bridge all lit up was spectacular. A... More

Not the most posh or romantic yacht, but not much yacht can sail the best harbour in the world. Get your outside place and just enjoy your $10 rides looking at majestic view. Go during the day the view are just better

I went to Australia about 8 or 9 years ago and I had the time of my life. A big memory was when I visited Sydney. Me my Grandmother, Uncle and Auntie all took one of the cream and green ferries across the harbor to Luna Park. I just remember going under the bridge with my disposable camera and trying... More

I think the best way to see the Sydney CBD and surrounds is by water and this is the way to do it. For only ~$7 you can go from Darling Harbour to Sydney Olympic Park. Also worth doing after dusk! A must for travellers to Sydney.
