Although many of the big cities have waterways but few of them are worth mentioning. Sydney Ferries are one of those fews. It nicely blends with the city transport system & move people to places. They are pretty fast too. As a tourist you will enjoy it more as it will take you to some places of interest more quickly... More

We found the ferries a great way to get to the Zoo and Manly Beach. People from all over the world brought together and enjoying the incredible weather and skyline of Sydney.

One of the best ways to visit everywhere within Sydney Harbour. Ferries are so frequent. Sometimes on a Sunday they are very busy but all other days are fine.

Took the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly for the day. Cheap and very efficient and well recommended. Loads of seats for the views. There is a 'Fast' ferry which takes 18 mins (12mins shorter crossing) but we were more than happy with the normal ferry. Every 30 mins to Manly and takes 30 mins with excellent harbour views.

Recently we took an overseas visitor on a ferry trip from Pyrmont to Circular via Balmain East, Mc Mahons Point & Milsons Point. She was "blown away" by the views of the bridge, the Opera House & just the harbour in general.
