Brilliant & low coast way to see the harbour & work out the geography of the area. Plus you get go to one of the many lovely seafront places to eat in Manly.

Every time we are in Sydney we always enjoy a trip over to Manly on the ferry, so special to see all the sights and feel the sea air once under way, even in winter time.

We used our Sunday fun day travel passes and used all public transport, all day for $2.50 per person. This made for a relaxing and inexpensive day visiting the Darling Harbour attractions with our visitors. Good one Sydney transport, I hope this continues when everything moves to the new Opal cards.

The ferry system is fast, efficient and a great way to see Sydney and all of its Bays and harbours. Very reasonable price wise. We took some of our best photographs of Sydney from the ferry.

We caught a ferry to Manly and our kids really enjoyed it. It was a bit windy, but there's an inside area where you can sit if the weather isn't too good, there are windows, so you can still look at the view. We took a fast ferry on the way to Manly and a slow one on the way... More

Ferries are the perfect and fastest transport for nearby islands and bays. No visit to Sydney would be complete without a ride on the ferry. Very roomy and has an old school feel. You can catch a train to Circular Quay and you are at the ferry terminal.
