We first visited Carobana in 2000, and we have been back to holiday in the Coffs Harbour area several times since then. There is no way that we would miss out on a visit to Carobana. The products are delicious, our favourite being the carob coated banana and ginger. Watching the production of the products is always interesting, even after... More

Small factory but friendly. Love the different chocolates here as they are not overly sweet. Made of carob and interesting selection of flavours. Lovely proprietor, Jean, gave us some really friendly service. Try the Carob Bananas.

Educational experience on how to make honeycomb. Got to stand basically next to chef/cook while he did his daily routine. Explained the process in depth, offered samples of freshly made honeycomb and free to boot. Only thing we did not like is chocolate coating on honeycomb they sell is carob. All in all though a very good experience.

Look it's a factory so not flash but they make chocolate ....all kinds ...enough said. You can see the chocolate being made, taste all kinds and when you finally choose it is very reasonablely priced. Staff are lovely. So glad I don't live nearby, I probably would weigh an extra 200 kg.

Brilliant to see a small industry still operating like this. We say a number of things being made and the staff expertly talked us through the process while continuing to work and give us samples straight off the line! There was a great selection of products to buy from, free refreshments and clean bathrooms. One lady also gave us a... More

Tasty carob! I never appreciated the difference between chocolate and carob - the friendly staff explained and showed us some raw carob pods. We tasted some of the different types and ended up walking out with several packets; very tasty! Yes, it's only a small place and a little out of the way to the north of Coffs, but well... More

A small family business with a selection of chocolate and associated products. We tried the Chocolate Licorice and the Honeycomb Nibbles. Both were nice.

A very interesting Carob Chocolate Factory, entry is free and so is tasting.....and it all tastes great. Another attraction is watching someone making Honeycomb in front of you and getting to taste fresh honeycomb also. Great little shop for buying your chocolate treats direct at reasonable prices.

Sort of out of the way and pretty basic, but it was interesting to see how the carob is used and hear of the long history of this place.

We went there as a bus group It was a short visit as we were late in going, BUT, they treated us like friends of the family Had a lesson on how the yummy chocolates were made Watched them going down the conveyor belt Then we were able to try some Not just little bits but an amount that would...
