We purposely put this on the list of things to see when we went to Coffs as we have a few arty people in our family, especially my 12 year old son. The entry was full of brilliant iconic coloured cartoons which were witty and well executed, unfortunately inside the gallery all the paintings were by local school kids and... More

Seriously, a gallery just for cartoons? How cool is that? Right now, there's other art in it as well but apparently that's about to change soon.

We came upon this lovely little Cartoon Gallery by chance, we often just see signs and so take them to see what it is all about, this is a Treasure of a Gallery, you can spend a couple of hours here easily. There is usually an exhibition on, but the treasures are the Comics, the Cartoons you can look through,... More

Informative, funny and cheap entertainment. You could spend a couple of hours there if you wanted. Easy parking and a bit like a trip to the War Memorial.

We first visited the Bunker Cartoon Gallery about 15 years ago. Then it displayed some awesome cartoons, mostly political in nature, drawn by well known cartoonists. This visit there was a Gallipoli 2015 exhibit of poetry and images. It was an interesting, powerful and meaningful exhibit. There was also an exhibition of local sites photographed by an artist whose name... More

Great to see that a bunker from WW11 can be reused fro artistic purposes. When i went in October there was an art competition ending. It had some great art from local people which certainly was not what I call modern art but art that the layman could appreciate. Some of it was for sale. There is a short video... More

We had been told of this place by the Manager of our accommodation. I was so glad we took a look. For a measly two dollars it was a gem. Shame the introduction video was worn and hard to view but we got the picture of how the place began. There is alot of artwork here and I enjoyed looking... More

I came across the Bunker Cartoon Gallery at the local tourist information centre, by accident. It's not promoted widely which is a shame. Entry is only $2!! I spent an hour wandering through, checking out the many cartoon entries in the Rotary Cartoon awards...fascinating! The Bunker is staffed by volunteers who are passionate & happy to show you around. You... More

We liked the cartoon comedy pictures on the wall but we thought it was going to be a different type of museum.
