The blue mountains are worth the trip on their own. We arrived in the Blue Mountains without realising we were there. We stopped at the Wentworth falls cap park, walked over to the railings, and were lost for words.Perhaps Wow. Every vista around the mountains is worth the hike up and down the steps to the lookout positions. Standing on... more

If you hire a car for the day from Sydnay, you can reach the Blue Mountains easily under your own steam. Echo Point is the look-out everyone takes the buses to, so avoid this unless you must (you'll have to pay to park!) - it is spectacular but far too touristy , better to go to one of the free... more

the blue mountains are one of Australia's fantastic scenery. It is a huge area outside Sydney which is full of stunning views, hidden valleys and eucalyptus filled "blue" air. It definately worth a visit more

Ive visited the Blue Mountains every time Ive been to Australia. Its such a special place. The atmospheric blue haze is stunning. The wildlife is rich and varied. The flora and fauna is unique. I just love this place. For the less adventurous take the skyrail or scenic railway down into the rim of the blue mountains with the 3... more

Monday 4th May Up early today, as we have a 7.55am pick up for our trip into the Blue Mountains with OZ Trails. Our coach/minibus driver and guide was called Hayden and was from “Mars”. (somewhere in the Fijian islands) and had been in Australia for 10 years. A very humorous man with a vast knowledge of Australian, European and... more

We loved our daytrip from Sydney to the Blue mountains. Our tour company was great (Sydney Wilderness Tours). Our tour guide Nigel was hiliarious. They provided the best food we had while in Australia for a month!! And this tour company takes you to Featherdale Wildlife Park to see baby Kangaroos & Koalas!! So then you don't have to plan... more

Two adults and two children went on day trip to the Blue Mountains from Sydney. We went on public rail to Katoomba (both kids free as it was a Sunday) then the Explorer bus around the sights, a family ticket meant one child travelled on the bus for free. Scenic World and the Three Sisters fantastic and good value. Then... more

There are literally dozens of tour operators going to the blue mountains. Each seems to add something or subtract something to be a little different. We used True Blue tours because it was the only brochure that I could easily understand. All of the activities were separately itemized and I was basically able to customize my event while traveling with... more

I just went to the mountains and had a great weekend. Bush walking, hot chocolate, open fires. It was excellent. I was also asked to report on my holiday at www.bluemountainsopinions.com.au. If you have been to the Blue Mountains in the last two years it is a great community. I especially recommend going to vist the three sisters. It is... more
