Compared to other zoo's there isnt alot to see. Cost wasn't to bad but if you are attending as a big family it will cost you $$$. There arent really any toilets along the way except for portaloos!! While it was good to walk along a concrete path, there didnt seem to be a logical path to take and you... More

Fed a giraffe for $10. Patted a dingo and kangeroos, held a snake, got pecked by emus, teased some monkeys. Updated walking tracks are great. Should have a local discount for us locals that want to visit every other week. Best tourist attraction in canberra.

Tell most people you went to the zoo in Canberra and they are likely to say "what Zoo?". This is a privately owned and run zoo that we have visited on several occasions visiting Canberra. If you are in Canberra it is a must, yes check what displays are open by all means but be prepared to see some incredible... More

Haven't been for a while but intend to visit again soon. Enjoyed it when I did go. It is expanding to be more open range and that will be good. The aquarium was excellent.

The last time I came here it was over priced and small. Kids couldn't see much as the boundries were to high for them to see over. Recommend checking what animals at are off display before you go.

I had been to Taronga Zoo only a couple of weeks before this zoo so I wasn't really expecting as much but was really impressed with everything at this zoo. They have done really well with the enclosures and the lion prides were awesome. A definate attraction to go to in Canberra.

Didn't know I had a Bucket List till we did the 'Meet a Cheetah' at the National Zoo! This is the most wonderful experience to pat and cuddle a full size adult Cheetah and be in an enclosure with 2 such magnificent animals. And yes they purr when scratched under the chin or behind their ears! They rumble and purr... More

Pros: This small zoo contains an interesting variety of animals and most seem to have good environmental enrichment and the animals appear content. The exhibits are large and well kept with several viewing areas enabling you to view most of the animals unless they are very determined to hide. Cons: Expensive for its size. Entry fee was almost double that... More

No mention online that aquarium is closed...for some time according to receptionist, yet price still the same. Found glass screens around the animal enclosures both very scratched and very dirty so viewing of animals was disappointing. Lions were the saving grace .....beautiful and viewing area was great. Whole zoo needed a serious upgrade to warrant the entry price. Have visited lots... More

We LOVE animals so visiting the zoo was top on our list and we were not disappointed. It is a smallish zoo which is perfect for little people and you just follow the trail which guides you through the zoo - no trying to figure out maps!!! Bliss!! The zoo was so clean and the animals all are well looked... More
