It's a large green space in the middle of Canberra separating Canberra City from the Parliamentary Triangle. Around it are attractions such as Questacon, the High Court and the National Gallery. Wald along the man made lake - very impressive. Nice park. Check for events in the Park. Walk across the bridge and see the water jet - memorial to Captain Cook.

This park is highly under-rated. It is one of the lesser known parts of Canberra but is a really nice place to take a walk, take the kids or just find a shady spot to rest under.

This is a very uninviting photo. The park has lots of paths for cycling and walking. There is a waterfall and stream when water restrctions permit. The stone "castle" play area is very popular and it is a great place to picnic. It is also the home of "Floriade" mid September to mid October.

Take a picnic and enjoy the park and the wonderful views across the lake.Walk,take a bike,push a pram or run through this beautiful piece of Australian Bush park.Or.Just sit under the trees and enjoy the peace and tranquility.There is a cafe for coffee or a good lunch if you wish.Highly recommend it to tourist and locals alike.
