This amazing park has all sorts of things to entertain. The views of Lake Burley Griffin are unequalled. The pathways through the park are immaculate. I encountered Nerang Pool and it was a lovely little area that added to the park, as if there was not enough waterside beauty already. Certainly a great place to hang out. More

It is a beautiful park just adjacent to the Lake Griffin. When you walk/bike around the lake then you can visit this park. This park will be crowded during the Floriade season. Plenty of parking are available. More

Wonderful place to stroll with the family. Particularly good for wheelchairs. Also, a great place to sit contemplate and collect your thoughts after a hard day of sightseeing! Beautifully relaxing especially in spring and summer if you find that quiet nook, as it can get a tad busy on a beautiful Canberra summers day. Great location and atmosphere for exercising. More

accompanying photo must have been taken during recent Canberra drought - now lush green - however, just a lush [when there is enough rain] park in English tradition - within it are Canberra visitor centre which has good background information on Canberra and next to "water spout" [like one in Lake Geneva] More

This is Canberra's defacto town square and comes alive for civic, arts and floral events year round. Organized fun, small playground near Regatta point and a hidden castle playground, ask a local for directions. More

The Lake is central feature of Canberra and Commonwealth Park is at the northern edges. It is a peacful park most of the time. And It has the capacity to entertain thousands at a time (Elton John played here on his last visit to Australia; Floriade is held here every year in spring; Australia day is celebrated here every year)...
