This model village is a fun thing to do with kids on a nice day in Canberra. It's more than just a traditional model village including scale models of significant buildings around the world as well as English Villages. World travellers will be delighted with scale models of places like Borobadur Temple in Java and the Taj Mahal. It is... More

I have been to Cockington Green several times now and I am always amazed at how beautifully the exhibits are maintained, I went with a first time visitor who was equally as enchanted as I was. The detail of these miniature buildings is extraordinary. The gardens are beautifully maintained and the explanations including the scale of the buildings etc is... More

We had a few hours at Cockington Green. The exhibits are lovely, although we were glad it wasn't raining when we went. Being English it was quite funny seeing the view others have of what is typically 'English'! The children really enjoyed it and ran from miniature scene to scene we could hardly keep up. They were very impressed when... More

We had a lovely morning at Cockington Green. We got there as soon as it opened and had plenty of room to explore all the gardens. I had fond memories from my child hood and it didn't disappoint for my children either. The kids (aged 3-6) giggled and squealed with excitement the whole time we were there. There is so... More

Didn't really know what to expect but heard good things about this place. Absolutely loved it! We picked a glorious day to visit - lots of sun despite the cold. The displays were amazing - heaps to see and read about. Enjoyed the little train ride also. Highly recommended - the whole place is really well maintained.

The family day at Cockinton Green was enjoyable but the entire place looks in need of better care an attention, it looks a tad old and rundown. A little more TLC and it would be a must to see on a trip to Canberra

It is disappointing to receive a review such as this knowing how much "TLC" goes into creating and and maintaing a display such as ours. We have 6 full time garden and maintenance workers, putting over 250 hours a week into our attraction. The Cockington Green team work very hard to provide a quality and great value for money experience... More

Waste of time and money. Looks like it needs a lot of maintenance. Much better things to do with your time in Gold Creek. I would rate the drive through at McDonald's a more rewarding experience.

To say that this review is upsetting is an understatement, At Cockington Green we strive to produce the very best experience for our visitors, it would seem in this case we have failed to produce the goods. Fortunately for us the greater majority of our reviewers on this forum appreciate the huge amount of work that goes into maintaining our... More

This place is very cool. I was a little dubious when the wife suggested that we go but it is entertaining. Even the steam train ride was fun!

This is fun for big kids and little kids alike. The Gardeners are well informed and happy to stop and have a chat re the plants, models etc. We went on an overcast day but it was still worth the effort. Kids especially seemed to love running around looking at the village
