The display and gardens were very well cared for. We went to Canberra to see Floriade but because we were there on the third day after opening the flowers were not fully in bloom. Cockington Green flowers were in bloom and were "better" than Floriade (at the time).

I just read it opened in 1979. My first visit must have been in 1979. I have visited it multiple times since. Everything is in miniature. Miniature villages, miniature mine operations. miniature historical locations from around the world. There are buttons to press to make boats move and trains move and windmills move. There is a barbecue area if you... More

I had visited Cockington Green on at least two other occasions and loved it both times. Ditto this time. It's so cute! Love the attention to detail and the surprises in the displays. Look closely to spot them. Great photo opportunities from the train ride too. The admission price is quite fair and can be purchased as part of a... More

It was raining when I visited with a friend, but it was still quaint and worth the visit. Lots of cute buildings. Children would love this. Great meat pies in their cafe and a cute gift shop. Everyone was friendly, and I even got a discount on livingsocial!

We haven't been for awhile (possibly due to the fact that we have been there over 20 times) but this is great value for the family. There are miniature houses to see and the family can ride on a mini train. There are places for the family to have a picnic and they also have a cafe. When the kids... More

roses in bloom or not, depending on the time of year, Embassy s of Canberra growing fast, and as you like it, mini railway, canal boats, dogs running off with the butchers sausages, the football ground with a streaker, so much to see and do at this most wonderful adult friendly place, of course you can bring the children, lol... At $18.50 for adults it's severely overpriced. A family of 4 would be close to $60 to get in and while it's pretty cool it's just not worth that much.

I thought the gardens were a great credit to the area well mantained and the staff were freindly, and it was in a great location to other attractions

Nothing prepares you for the extraordinary attention to detail in the tiny model houses in the "English section", let alone the elaborate work on buildings in the "International section". There are lots of humourous little scenes, which are a delight to discover. Gardens are superb !!

This was originally a collection of English village type houses but these days more buildings have been added thanks to funds from several Embassies. It is fun to walk around and see the places I have seen. They are excellent reproductions in small scale. I was very impressed. It is incredibly well maintained - manicured lawns and fun things hidden... More
