This sculpture really reflects upon the nature of the relationship between Australia and New Zealand and embodies a great deal of the ANZAC spirit. It is one of the memorials along ANZAC Parade that caught the imagination of the party of 11 year old school children.

This memorial was initially built after all the ANZACS in Egypt and Palestine donated a days pay in 1917 towards it’s construction.
