When you are visiting Canberra during September, you must visit Floriade. No entry fee. Dont forget to bring camera.. If you are very keen then attend Night Festival during long holiday in ACT.

Has become commercial and non local over the years. Used to have local apprentices making wonderful wooden tiems, now repalced by kitschy chinese imports. THe Embassy floral displays have gone . Among the lovely floral beds are now mostly cruddy stalls and rather poor food tents- though there are a few interesting displays now of alternative ways of gardening and... More

If you want to come to Canberra make sure you cone when floriade is on. A lot of effort is put in to create some spectacular gardens. Ride the Ferris wheel for a birds eye perspective. Something for every one of every age.

Love going to floriade every year. Always a lovely outing :) there is plenty to see and you're able to spend a good day there. Also, the roasted nuts are the best!!!!

Flew from Brisbane just to attend Floriade finally. Love love love it! Tulips everywhere and since tulips are my favourite flowers, I was over the moon when I visited Floriade. Beautiful especially on a sunny September spring day. Hope to go every year!

The entire floriade experience is a must if you never tried it. Nightfest was particularly amazing with lightshows, circus acts and nice food

Melbourne's annual garden show is 100 times better if you want flower and garden shows. Canberra has a lot to see and do and this is OK if have other plans as well. Compared to most other flower shows it's over rated.

You could probably do a Floriade once or twice, but after that it gets very stale. The entertainment is poor (if you can hear it, as the AV set up is never great in Commonwealth Park), the stalls are fairly boring and overpriced, food is not great and the service is slow, crowd control is - and always has been...
