This is a must see if in Canberra in spring. We had a wonderful time can't believe this event free. The special guess for the demo's were fantastic. We loved every minute of it and even went back two day's latter.

Needs a revamp, less flowers than there used to be and you can't see the patterns without raised platforms. I would be angry if I travelled a long distance to see this display. It is hard to find a seat in food area and it is a dusty area in which to eat food. If they would just charge a... More

We took the free shuttle bus to Floriade in the morning (3 pick up/drop off locations in the CBD area). We spent a beautiful sunny Saturday at Floriade. The floral displays were so beautiful, vibrant and creatively designed. With lovely themes and arrangements, we folled a gravel path round the displays and took so many spectacular photos. There was a... More

This is the event we go to Canberra for. We love the flowers and the event. Gnome painting was a hit with the kids. Free entry event. But you will spend money to do some of the activities. How ever you could easily bring food and spend nothing if budget is an issue. If you can be in Canberra during... More

I felt this year struggled to have new innovative ideas for design. For that reason it was not interesting enough to go back for the night fest. There needs to be small platforms to get enough height to actually look down on the plantings to see what the designers envisaged.

This was on my wife's bucket list. There were, apparently, a million flowers (mostly tulips) planted in intricate patterns. The only problem is that you cannot see the patterns from the ground and there are no high vantage points. So, this was a bit of a disappointment. Instead, we did ride the Ferris wheel, which gave a view of some... More

For something with free entry it was a great day out with the kids. The floral displays were very well put together. We enjoyed walking through the market area and looking at all of the things for sale. We watched a cooking demo with Miguel from The Living room and he was funny and entertaining. Only downfall was the pricing... More

Magnificent colours and designs made of beautiful flowers. Amazing work. Enjoyed the cooking with Miguel and garden demonstrations as well as the great stalls for shopping.

As I live in Canberra I have visited Floriade most years since it started and I must say that it has changed a lot over those years. It used to be all about the flowers but unfortunately it has now become a money-making event with shops everywhere!! I know it has free entry but maybe just the odd souvenir shop... More

Coming from Melbourne, I believe floriade to be a display of a multitude of flowers but in fact it was mostly tulips ( lovely display), however I come from an area of tulips (Tesselars in Monbulk, Vic), so although we enjoyed the views and flowers we thought it wasn't much. It had quite a few stalls where you could purchase... More
