lovely display, worth multiple trips each season. free petting farm for kids is always a hit, and fairy floss! lovely local sellers with their wares. I did find one night ticket was worth it each season or displays, shows etc.

I've been here the last 3 years I have been in Canberra and still look forward to it every year. What a great way to welcome spring! Canberra gets quite cold in Winter and people hide inside so it's always welcoming seeing so many people outside! Floriade is just flowers everywhere. Pretty flowers. I recommend paying to go to see... More

The flower exhibits at Floriade are simply breathtaking. Better to go a couple of weeks after opening rather than right at the start of the period as we found a lot of the tulips hadn't opened yet. The accompanying markets were quite good too although I have to say that not everything was particularly cheap. Definitely worth a visit if... More

I attend Floriade a few years ago and wont be going back. If you are intrested at looking at the same plants, just if different colours then Floriade may be for you. For me, when I went I expected to see a variety of type of plants and particularly plants of native Australian species. All I saw were tulips in... More

This must be the most overrated attraction in Canberra. We first went during the day and then returned the next night. Most of the garden beds are planted in patterns but they can only be seen from above. This means paying for an overpriced ride on a ferris wheel. Although we had booked our tickets in advance we had to... More

Have to say that both my wife and I were a little disappointed in Floriade. I guess we had been spoilt by having visited the Chelsea Garden Show and Floriade was a poor relation to that. OK the tulips were nice but not a lot else on offer. A reasonably barren landscape with many, many weeds showing through. Too much... More

I think that I may have missed only one Floriade since it started way back when (sometime in the 1980s) so you can tell that I'm a fan. In 2014 I only had time for a short daytime visit, so I insisted we made a longer visit to Floriade's Nightfest. And I'm glad we did! Floriade's flowers and flower beds... More

In years gone by, Floriade was a must see exhibition. As a local, I have seen the scope and extent and content of the Festival decline over the years. It is still a nice outing, but needs a re:focus from the ACT government and an injection of funds

Great place to go with the family. Site buggy friendly. Beds of flowers and plants as far as the eye can see when at their best albeit towards the end of the festival they get somewhat tired (unsurprisingly). Small areas set aside for face painting and different groups and the ability to run round was appreciated by the little one's... More

I visited the place twice, one during the night and one during the day. Daytime: Was nice but was a short visit. The tulips and their formations were very pretty, a bit artificial, but still pretty and .. I like flowers. The morning is usually best because of the crowds and weather but also there will be school groups and... More
