The James Turrell exhibit is stunning and quite an experience. Be sure to see his outdoor installation at sunset and watch the sky change colours.

The National Gallery of Australia has art from all over the world. The design is airy. One does not feel cramped and there are beautiful, weird, wonderful gardens through which to walk if one has children or just wants a mystical walk through the sculpture garden. The Gallery also has great shows, like the ongoing James Turrell light exhibit, scheduled... More

The James Turrell exhibition can not be missed. It constantly makes you question what you are seeing and how your brain interprets it. Even if you just check out the incredible outdoor installation it's well worth it.

For somebody who has visited Canberra is a must to see attraction. It is given the opportunity to admire some national painters. The building is convenient. The aboriginals section is really amazing.
