I always love going to this gallery. It is so beautifully set out and interesting with different exhibitions on all the time. It is easy to lose hours just wandering the different rooms and with 3 hours free parking underneath makes it a wonderful way to spend a morning or afternoon. The cafe downstairs has a lovely outlook and is... More

This gallery is well worth a visit but allow plenty of time to amble and take in the great variety and nature of the art that is exhibited

Huge area with lots to see. We chose only to focus on a few things. Loved the Sidney Nolan Ned Kelly series here and was amazed at how huge Blue Poles is. Make sure you check out the Sculpture Garden here as well.

It is always a delight to visit. Easy to get too , great temporary exhibitions and easy to get around . It is tiring and easy to develop overload so best to visit the cafe and then start the exploring again . The permanent exhibitions are wonderful too.

a huge collection of both Australian and overseas works, from both well known and lesser known artists. Well laid out, it is easy to spend hours here and only just scratch the surface.

I liked everything I saw, starting with a guided tour, then I went around on my own. I didn't allow enough time, so I will have to go back some time and see the rest.

The gallery is worth a visit if only for the collection of indigenous art. However, there are lots of other noteworthy artworks. Staff are also very friendly and helpful. We spent an enjoyable few hours here and had a great lunch in the cafe.

I got lost on the bus from the Canberra train station to my lodgings. I had to change buses at Parkes Place so I thought I'd visit the Gallery while I was there. They have excellent luggage holding facilities because I had everything with me - a dance dress bag, a huge suitcase and backpack. But I was there only... More
