It has a few portraits by one of my favourite painters, Tom Roberts, including one of founding father Sir... More

I am still amazed at how much history can be revealed in a bunch of portraits. I wasn't expecting to be so engaged. It is thoughtfully curated and the lay-out works well. The visiting exhibit "In the Flesh" was quite extraordinary as well.

My first visit to this gallery but will be back again. It is obviously cherished by the couple that instigated the gallery and it has all the hallmarks of a very personal view. All the big names in Australian painting present and presented well

Easy to get around and well lit. The life like figures have to be seen to be believed! The portraits are numerous and cover many past and present luminaries.
