We decided to have our yearly family holiday on a houseboat & wanted the "best" so decided to go with unforgetable houseboats. They may have been the best 20 years ago but not any more. The boat was very shabby & in desperate need of a revamp. We couldn't have the windows open as all the screens were ripped, the... More

Four nights cruising the Murray River, from Mannum upriver to Blanchetown then returning downstream to Mannum again on board the grand paddle steamer the Murray Princess. What a lovely relaxing way to travel the mighty Murray River. The great paddle wheel churning the water at the stern during the day, and tied up to the river bank at night watching... More

Did the 3 night cruise on the Murray Princess - excellent - we wanted peace and quiet - and the top deck relaxed on a chair watching the banks slide gently past and the very abundant bird life continually keeping one's attention - pretty much the perfect calming down situation. We did the other attractions on the way - winery,... More

A must do experience for groups of family or friends. So relaxing and the perfect holiday to recharge your batteries. I found a week was the perfect length of time. The boat is fully kitted out with everything you could possibly need. Barbie. Spa pool. Sunbathing deck. Two TV. Music systems. We were on the unforgettable 10. 6 bedrooms and... More

Arriving on a Sunday evening and being helped on board with our luggage it was time to meet the crew and other passengers with supper. This was the start of a terrific week. The crew made sure the needs of everyone on board was catered for with efficiency and good humour and they worked hard to make sure we enjoyed... More

The overall experience of the grand old Murray river was very enjoyable. The cruise itself was fine. But if you are under 60 years of age you will be the "teenagers" on board. The entertainment & the activities are all arranged for a more elderly clientèle. I will be there one day but not yet. The cabins are very cell... More

Not one I'd recommend!! Hugely overpriced!! More of a geriatric adventure cruise..I'm late fifties and felt like a child. The positives are we did meet some lovely people, the river is absolutely beautiful and intriguing when you think of the history of events on the river. I enjoyed our on shore time, fireside one night, walking through the scrub during... More
