Not one I'd recommend!! Hugely overpriced!! More of a geriatric adventure cruise..I'm late fifties and felt like a child. The positives are we did meet some lovely people, the river is absolutely beautiful and intriguing when you think of the history of events on the river. I enjoyed our on shore time, fireside one night, walking through the scrub during... More

4 days of total relaxation. Boat speed is something like 9 knots. RETIREMENT PACE. Quarters are a slight challenge for anyone over 185cm. Great food.

As this was our first time on a cruise, we chose the 4 day cruise. Next time we'll do the 7 days. We had a great time, with plenty to do on each of the days. We particularly enjoyed the folks at Big Bend, they were lovely and funny people, and they are doing lots to save some injured native... More

Murray Princess cruise 7 Days during August 2014, the Crew is wonderful, the Food is great with more than you can eat. Tours off the Vessel including The Barossa Valley and Woolshed are well organised and interesting. Sadly the cabins are very basic and very tired. The promotion information and sales department tend to not to portray the Accommodation as... More

We stumbled across a gem for anyone looking for interesting art, antiques, jewellery, furniture and preloved items. Everywhere we looked in Steve Caldwell's shop we saw unique, fascinating art pieces and distinctive collectables, so that a 'lets have a quick browse' visit turned into hours of pleasurable shopping, gossiping and take home treasure. Well worth a visit if you are... More

When booking for the Murray Princess we were looking for a good rest and relaxation time. We did think that it might be a little boring and geared for the elderly. However this was far from the case. The Murray Princess provided us with beautiful scenery, Excellent meals and great trips on shore. All of the staff/crew on the boat... More

My husband organised a surprise pre sixtieth birthday treat for me and our adult family of four. It was quite a co-ordination feat managing to get everyone from NZ and various spots in Oz to meet in Adelaide from where we drove to Manuum to find our floating luxury home for the next three nights. We had to delay our... More

It it beautiful in its way, the same way the American mid-continent (Nebraska, Oklahoma, etc) can be beautiful. About mid morning I found myself traveling alongside the Murray River, and imagine my surprise when the GPS put me on a ferry crossing this meandering stream. It has one of the lowest gradients of any Australian river, so it moves slowly.... More

We hired a 10 berth boat for 8 of us for a week. Fantastic week and like to do it again. The peaceful week, but ability to do day tours was great. Enough on board entertainment as well. But don't do this, if you always need to be doing something. You will be driven nuts, but if you can read... More

My wife and I did the 4 night cruise on the Murray River Princess and recommend it very highly! The staff were friendly and most efficient, the food was delicious and the activities and entertainment were extremely enjoyable and diverse. It was also a bonus that we met some lovely fellow guests with whom we had some interesting conversations. Do... More
