Travelled here today with my son. Had visited Duxford couple of weeks ago and was an excellent day out. Felt it was over priced at £7.50. Was also disappointed at the Vulcan it looked as if it was in great need of some tlc.

Visited this museum a couple of weeks ago i had not been since 2007, the displays were very good, it is clear to see that the aircraft are well looked after, Even the ones outside are card for well. It was great to see the vulcan and shackleton, There are 2 large hangers which hold the other aircraft and have... More

A good, interesting day out for young and old alike. Lots more to see than we expected, gift shop and a nice cafe too!

Was here years ago and couldn't believe how much its changed, a lot bigger and a lot better. It's not a Hendon or a Duxford but for a small museum it's ok. Plenty of variety and the planes in the hangers are immaculate. Would have loved a sit in the Phantom simulator !

Enjoyed this lovely little aviation museum. Lovely to see the Vulcan, Lightening and many other cold war planes. For the £7.50 price it would be nice to be able to see inside some of the aircraft. If you could look inside some of the aircraft it would be fab. I know they have a cockpit day, but why not make... More

We visited this as a family of 4. My partner and 14 year old son were much more enthusiastic on the way to the museum than myself and my 9 year old daughter. However we all thoroughly enjoyed it. It is reasonably compact but there is a lot to see and there were a couple of volunteers there letting the... More

Highly recommend Newark Air Museum as a worthy contender in the best aviation museum in the country. A great selection of aircraft, with equally great facilities and very friendly staff. I would recommend visiting on the various different exhibition days for maximum interaction, however the exhibits alone without doubt provide a great selection of aircraft both inside and outside for... I ordered a voucher for my brother (who was visiting from the USA) for his birthday, as I heard they had a Vulcan Bomber (his favourite plane) I wrote and told them that he loved the Vulcan, and Rosalyn (the Manager) arranged for Howard to meet us, and he gave five of us a guided tour of the cockpit of... We really enjoyed our visit here - an excellent collection of aeroplanes, interesting exhibits and a well laid out site. The real highlight though was the guided tour of the Vulcan Cockpit - a 15 minute visit to this stunning V-bomber for just 50p per person. Experiences like this usually cost a lot more money. Friendly, enthusiastic volunteers, a welcoming... More
