Koalas. Koalas everywhere

Friendly staff, cheap entry with lots of koalas and echidnas. Nice to break up the expensive outings

OK the first thing to acknowledge is that the koalas are at best semi-wild, but that can be said for most of the koalas in Australia. The park has about 30 koalas by our estimations a most are easily visible. We were lucky enough to see one of the koalas on the ground walking from tree to tree, which we... More

Thank you for visiting the sanctuary. The koalas here on the sanctuary are very wild and as we don't contain or feed them they are free to move around in a very natural environment. This is an intact wild colony and may appear tame as they rest for up to 19 hours per day. Nocturnal tours are a great way... More

We walked around the pathways, saw a bunch of koalas which was nice. But the highlight was seeing our one and only echidna in the wild so that made it worth the trip alone :)

We visited this place twice and had a good time here. Most people stay only for a short time, but we stayed here for hours and had some really nice photographic oppertunities. This park is well worth a visit it and you can combine it with Flinders Chase National Park.

Located on the South Coast Road this is a fantastic experience. Koalas abound on the Sanctuary and are easy to spot. The nocturnal tour includes lots of marsupials and you get close up and personal. The guides are knowledgeable and enhance the experience

The wildlife sanctuary has an unique tranquil atmosphere, and if you want to get up close with koalas during your stay on Kangaroo Island, you should definitely check it out. Wildlife is wild, so it's probably the easiest to wander around and see what you encounter. There will be koalas there, and - depending on the time of day -... More

A little overprice for what you will see, but you will definitely see Koalas. Not much else to see or do here.

Thank you for taking the time to visit the sanctuary and we are sorry to hear that we you didn't see the other wildlife. As a sanctuary we don't feed or contain our wildlife and so nature very much depicts when wildlife are more visible. During the day koalas, cape barren geese and birds are here and we also have... This is a good stop on Kangaroo Island. you must look carefully to see the koalas as they are usually sleeping high up in the trees. They sleep most of the time. If you are lucky one may be in a lower tree fork. There are also bird feeders so you may also see some native Australian Birds.

Thank you for spending time at the sanctuary. We think that you've seen possum boxes rather than bird feeders. The possum boxes are on the trees located around the sanctuary. Each day is different here and the koalas movements and positions in the trees can change depending on the time of day, the time of year and also the weather.... More

This is the second time I have been here ... and loved it .... saw about 10 Koalas in the trees .... great spot. We actually saw one running across the field in the early morning hours... we stopped by about 7:45 am before we headed to the ferry to see if we could site some roos but caught a... More

We were lucky enough to see more than a dozen koalas and a similar number of wallabies on the afternoon we visited. Well laid out property being run for all the right reasons!
