Owner description: Viña Casa Marín is a family-owned boutique winery located in the San Antonio appellation, founded by María Luz Marín in 2000, a passionate wine maker and entrepreneur. Viña Casa Marin is now recognized as one of the 100 best vineyards in the world. Its truly unique terroir, just 4 kilometers from the coast, makes it currently Chile's closest vineyard to the Pacific Ocean. Casa Marin has been described as the “most daring and innovative vineyard” in Chile, famous for their cool climate fine wines. They have won many awards including the “Best Sauvignon Blanc in the World” in 2010 and the best in Chile in 2013. Open for private tours and tastings of their Premium wines, lunches with the family members and winemaker, and overnight stays in the private Bed & Breakfast, situated at one of the vineyard’s most privileged spots with a spectacular view of the Pacific ocean.

Vina Casa Marin was founded by a woman who loves wine. She was the first woman in Chile who did it. We did wine tasting there and this experience was unforgettable. Sauvignon Gris was unique and unusual (it was first time when I tried it). Riesling is also great. Jamie is nice, thank her for interesting talk. I wish I... More

No doubt, the location is excellent. And the two cottages are romantic and very well kept. The smaller one is the better choice, but this is a question of taste. The income service is friendly. And the winery is specialiced of high level wines. Of course they are expensive. So far so good. But be carefull what Casa Marin offers... More

I love this winery. I have some friends who live locally and know the owners. I visited this time last year and resolved to find this wine back in Canada, however, their distributor in Canada doesn't sell it (which is strange...) This year I brought back a case of their amazing Sauv Blanc, Sauv Gris and Gertz. I also like... More

Wine was one of the greatest we tasted on our trip. Jamie is a great presenter. Worthwhile to make a side trip from Casablanca valley

Great opportunity if you want to spend the $ (wine geeks only?) for a vertical of sauv blanc or pinot with the wine maker. Quite a variety of soils right on sight. Unique for Chile in their coastal setting. You can also stay here. Warning: their english language directions left out one turn from Casablanca Valley, although the map on... More

We visited four wine regions in October in Chile and this winery was our favourite. Where to start? First Osvaldo Marin (brother of the owner) was a wonderful guide for the two of us. So informative, such depth of knowledge, so proud of his family's endeavors and a true gentleman in every way. The tasting room is one of the... More

I first discovered Casa Marin on a list of "world's best winery hotels". Little did I know that, when we left the Colchagua Valley (the "best" wine region in Chile, according to conventional wisdom) to take the 3 hour drive north-west to Lo Abarca, we'd be stumbling on to the biggest (and most delightful) surprise of our trip: the wine... We were given a tour of the winery, the wine-making process, the bottling process, and got to sample some of their award-winning wines. Good luck finding a better bottle of pinot noir or sauvignon blanc! My only dislike is the fact that I couldn't taste everything that they make or take enough with me when I flew back home.

We had an excellent tour at Casa Marin! Violeta was so helpful and responsive in organizing the tour and they remained open late for us because we got super lost getting there (dont rely on Google maps, apparently Waze is better). Osvaldo was a very informative tour guide and the wines were amazing, especially the Pinot Noir and Sauv Gris.... More

At the start of the harvest season visiting a winery is always wonderful. The temperatures are still great and you already get an idea of what the new wines are going to bring. We went to the winery with a group and were able to pick some grapes ourselves and tasted them as well. It looks like we are getting... More
