Gilbert and Goldie were the most wonderful hosts, my girlfriend and I couldn't have asked for better guides. Clamming was fun easy and incredibly rewarding. Eating the clams we had dug up just an hour before made the experience even better! We got along great with the family who had booked at the same time as us and got to... More

It has been my moms dream since she was a little girl to go to PEI and to dig for clams. 70 + years later I was able to help her achieve her dream. Gilbert and Goldie went out of their way to ensure my mom had the best experience. Due to her health Gilbert drove us in his truck... More

Talk about fresh! We got to go and dig for the clams and eat them just after! This was exactly as it was described, actually better! We had such a great time! Gilbert and Goldie were so much fun. We have 5 kids and they were so patient and sweet with them. The kids talked about it for a long... More

We enjoyed our 3 hours with our gracious hosts, digging clams, learning about the various types and then enjoying a full meal with fresh ground coffee and homemade dessert. We were stuffed. They were extremely helpful every step of the way, and very patient with our three young kids (11,8 and 5). Highly recommend the experience.

Digging for clams? 5 stars? Really? It's always nice to be surprised when the experience lives up to the reviews. This experience truly is as authentic as you can get in PEI. Our own clams, cooked fresh and delicious, food you can't get in a restaurant and the warmth and giving nature of our gentle and kind hosts, Gilbert and... More

We had prebooked our clamming experience with Gilbert and Goldie which was easy. All the members of our family (2 adults and 2 children) had a great time using the many different tools that Gilbert demonstrated how to use to unearth the clams. Our youngest son wanted to continue to dig for clams after we had collected enough for our... More

I came to PEI wanting to share in a truly local , food inspired experience , and could not have been more impressed with Happy Clammers. Both Gilbert and Goldie are wonderful people ,and it was clear from the beginning that they are very passionate about anything to do with the ocean. Especially Clams. Gil took us down to the... The Gillis' are simply wonderful people. They make the experience. The dig site is not far from the house. We learned how to tell good from bad, about the proper size, etc. We got a ton very quickly. Kids loved this part. When we got back to the house, our little monsters started acting up. Goldie was very understanding -... More

A must do!! We had so much fun learning about clams, digging, and of course, the delicious meal! Kind hosts with great knowledge of the area and lots of stories to share. Goldie made my two boys a cheese pizza but my 9 year old daughter tried the steamed clams and chowder! Dessert was delicious! My only regret was not... More
