A beautiful castle that is definitely worth a visit. The guided tour was in dutch (there was english translations available on a piece of paper), but it didn't matter too us because it was just so amazing to see the inside of the castle. A very beautiful surronding nature with a big park. The tickets to the guided tour costed... More

The Castle is incredibly impressive in two ways. First, the whole castle was rebuilt just over a century ago. The workmanship was astounding. The attention to detail, the mixing of art nouveau with medieval themes, the creation of a modern life-style within a castle setting .. all these come together in a wonderfully unique way. There was so much to... More

This castle was rebuilt in the 20th century based on the foundation and historical record of an old castle. The castle and grounds are very beautiful and the tour is interesting. Most days they only offer tours in Dutch so plan ahead if you want a tour in English. Our Dutch guide was able to answer questions in several different... More

Spent an afternoon with our four children aged 6 to 14. Beautiful property and gardens including picnic area and maze. Shop sells knights helmets shields and crossbows which our youngest loved. Could easily spend a ahalf day here. We only stayed in gardens but there is a guided one hour tour of the property for extra

I absolutely loved it! I could not get enough of how beautiful and interesting it was. The history too was so vivid and real, the gardens are stunning the rooms are fully decorated and there was a english tour or a dutch tour. It felt like a fairtale castle and the love story behind it too made it magical

I recently visited this castle for the first time on a hot June day but with a blue sky and cooling breeze - just perfect. It is a very easy journey from Utrecht - by train about 3 stops to the station of Vleuten, (a return ticket costs about 5 Euros) then a number 127 bus in the direction of... More

The gardens surrounding the castle are wonderfully kept and if you have a good day - enjoy roaming around. very picturesque. The tour was also very interesting. Only given in Dutch, but they give you a booklet to read along the way in various languages. Biggest disappointment was that they did not allow pictures inside.

I was in Holland in April and this magnificent castle would be even more beautiful when the gardens would be blooming at a later date. I had a lovely walk and enjoyed every minute I was there. It has been beautifully restored!

It's a nice castle. Some fun things to see. Nice gardens. But it doesn't have the distinction and meaningful history that you would expect from an European castle. It's just a mansion rebuilt by very rich people. Tour is all in Dutch. They do have handouts in different languages but it was obvious that the verbal tour was much more... More
