Mysterious castle

A beautiful Castle located in the middle of fields with cows, though there is a beautiful park surrounding it with places to sit and have a picnic

This was a great place to visit! So many things to do and see for little to no money! The castle itself is great to see (even if it was rebuilt fairly recently) and the grounds are spectacular. It was fun to be able to visit a hedge-maze and try to get lost. There are several walking trails and you... More

The very unique kasteel i ever seen, knowing the history of dutch nobleman and the family, how they live, what they like to do, what they eat, and what their interest. an old and funny lady guide will ask you visit one by one room around the kasteel. From the beautiful landscape around the kasteel you can find many good spots... A 30 minute drive from Amsterdam that should not be ignored. If you love Downton Abbey here is a chance to get up close and personal with the lifestyle these folks lived. This is a luxurious treasure full of artistic treats with vast architectural history that are simply are amazing. Take the tour and enjoy all you can learn. After... More

Husband, sons (13 & 11) and I enjoyed about 3 hours here. We booked and English tour ahead of time (worth it), no photos inside. Inside your took approx 1 hour, started promptly. We read up on its history before just in case our tour guide didn't tell everything... Glad we did!! Before, we had a picnic at our car,... More

We had read that the castle was open at 9, so we arrived at 9 but were told that only the gardens could be visited at that time and that the first guided tour was at 11. We had thought we could have breakfast there to pass the time, but were told that the cafè opened at 10. It seems... More

Only about 30 minutes drive from Amsterdam is this beautiful, almost fairytale looking, castle set in over 130 acres of lovely grounds with gardens, canals and ponds. Although there are guided tours available (unfortunately the inside of the castle was closed when we visited) just walking around the grounds is a enjoyable experience.

I like the Kasteel a lot, but the enterance fee is very high. Adult €13, Child €9, Parking €4. Also you can not take a photo inside the kasteel, so what the use to go there?!

A beautiful castle that is definitely worth a visit. The guided tour was in dutch (there was english translations available on a piece of paper), but it didn't matter too us because it was just so amazing to see the inside of the castle. A very beautiful surronding nature with a big park. The tickets to the guided tour costed... More
