Dont expect a beach type environment here. The site is really pretty and has lots of restaurants and shopping. The water is very clean. Keep your valuables safe while dipping in the water. More

the best time to go to the waterfalls is besides rain seasson, since the color of the water is reall blue and not brown for the mud after rain. Skip the place during easter or long mexican holidays since you will find lot of people and little dirty. Restauranst there offer just basic food. Careful to swim there strong corrents.... More

It runs brown (muddy during rainy season) still very beautiful. I would love to see it when the water is blue. swimming is allowed at the bottom area. There are many levels to see, lots of steps, well worth the effort to climb all the way to the very top. Many vendors, if you don't show interest they leave you... More

Don't go in the raining season, that is when I was there. They are not Azul more like Cafe. If you are in Chiapas it is a must see. More

When you are there make sure to walk up up up up, and you will reach the river with NO people, so it's much nicer than being close to the crowds. You can have a great swim there, and relax! If you can stay for at least 2 -3 hours on the falls you wont regret it. More

I went to Agua Azul as part of a tour of Palenque, Misol-Ha,and Agua Azul that I booked in the town of Palenque. The cascades are beautiful, and there are blue pools to swim in at several areas along the river. Local craft shops and restaurants line the path along the river. As you climb the path, there are some... More

Unfortunately, on the day of our visit the Casacadas were more "Agua Marrón". Pleasant grounds, with a number of inexpensive eating places and, of course, all the stalls. If you are game, you can take a dip in the water, but I would advise to head further up stream - I did see a few people washing themselves in the... More
