The National Park of Palenque is absolutely beautiful and in my opinion, does not compare to any other ruins in Mexico. You are allowed to to climb one ruin which I highly recommend. The site of Palenque is stunning. The setting is much more breath-taking than that of Chichen Itza or Uxmal or the other Yucatan sites. It is definitely worth a visit.
