Took the family there for a Sat. visit

We had a great time walked around took the tractor driven train around the park. Though we are not fluent in Spanish the guides did an excellent job trying to describe all to us.

it is a very well kept zoo and very innovative as well; however, it includes fauna from other parts of the world, when you would expect to see the local fauna which is quite extensive.

We take a minibus very cheap to go there, and at the end of the day also took us and left us in the center of villahermosa. More a safari than a zoo, you can finish the travel in half day. the park it's divided by biotas like african zone and jungle zone. We arrived at a time of year... More

We paid 150 pesos for a taxi from Villahermosa to Yumka, where we paid 100 pesos per person for the entrance. You can take a colectivo back for only 15 or 20 pesos. First the great stuff: - Staff was very friendly (but didn't speak English). - Elefants, rhinos, zebras, giraffes, gazelles, buffaloes, ostriches etc. had a BIG area and... More

This attraction is 15 minutes away from the city and just about 5 minutes from the airport. The tour is in Spanish so if you don't speak the language you will have to enjoy just a walk in nature sans explanation. The tour starts with a walk through the woods that leads you to a safari truck. This takes you... More

We enjoyed the walk in the jungle and saw several animals. It is in Spanish so we missed the explanations. A lot of the platforms were roped off so we didn't get to look for manatees or hippos for example. The ride on the tram was fine and he went slow and stopped once so people could take pictures. When... More

This safari-style zoo is definitely recommended: due to the size and nature of the grounds, you will get some great photos, and really get up close to the animals as you go round. Also includes a fun section with a few animals roaming loose and a few you can feed. Overall, a great day out. Just make sure that you... More

Really enjoyed the safari adventure. Guide was a bit not nice... however enjoyed tour. We went a group of friends and really liked the place. You do see many animals! The white tiger impressed me!!! I also held a big Snake Boa!! An ideal place for families with kids.
