Great little place to check out with the family. Many animals on site and a good place to check-out in Villahermosa.

We had a rainy day to fill (staying in Palenque) and decided to go to Villahermosa, see the Parque Museo le Vente (closed when we got there) and Yumka. The drive took about 2 hours, one section of road was rough but even with the rain, the scenery was beautiful. Made a wrong turn in Villahermosa and ended up in... More

My partner and I came a long way to see the Olmec heads at La Venta park and Yumka. Both are closed. Very disappointed, especially because Yumka's website doesn't work and there is no other way to find out. Taxis as hotel management don't know that it's closed either.

A simple safari, but well worth the money... we will go back... It was a great park for our family of six to go and spend some time together.

Yumka offers a unique zoo experience unlike anything I have seen before. No baren concrete enclosures and for a large part, no bars or cages (exept for the cats and some species of deer and monkeys on exhibit) and where there was confinment, it was in a more natural setting with large enclosures. The tour is split half and half... More

I love Tabasco for it's nature and I also liked Yumka park, cause it is a very natural zoo. There animals live in a very special conditions, can be say that they are live on freedom. There are lots of iguanas, giraffe and elephant.. You can walk in a little part of the part yourself and you can go in... More

Yumka park was my first zoo experience (imagine I am 55). It was impactant to see animals that i saw in books or magazines. The visit is a "must do" in villahermosa.
