On this tour you will learn more than you ever thought possible about how kiwi fruit is grown. We were lucky enough to have our own personal guide so the tour was very special for us. It was good to have other fruit trees growing as well as it wasn't kiwi fruit season. We are converted to Ugli fruit now... More

Hi moreinput We are pleased you enjoyed some of the other fruits we have. While we focus on kiwifruit, the unique climate and soil condition enables us to easily grow many other different fruit and nut varieties, not for commercial sale but to demonstrate the abundance and productivity of the Te Puke area in the Bay of Plenty. Thank you... More

All one need to know about Kiwifruit, very informative..Unfortunately, its not the season of harvesting the kiwifruit, the expanse orchards does not have abundant of Kiwifruit, abit dissapointed. But can view kiwifruits just a few plots and much of it is destroyed by birds. Nevertheless, the orchard tour is relaxing with other types of plantation eg. avocados, tangerine, fuijio and... More

Hi lawc22 Thanks for visiting Kiwi360. Yes, in Oct the kiwi vines are just beginning to sprout spring growth. By the end of Nov we will have more then 2 million flowers being pollinated on our property. From those we will actually manage to produce approx. 1.65 million export quality kiwis for harvest in April, May. The vines you saw... More

I loved visiting Kiwi 360! I learned so much about the kiwi fruit itself, its growing process, and how the kiwis are harvested and then shipped around the world! The gift shop was great as well!

This would not be a destination point but not a bad side trip. It was an informative visit, seeing the fruit growing and actually walking throughout the orchard was interesting. We went into the shop for a tasting and even tried the kiwi wine and liquor. Highlight was trying the gold kiwi - it was delicious and I can't wait... More

Hi Yaflincoln Thanks for stopping by, and for taking time to comment., By the way, the admission is free, including the tastings etc, but the expert guided tour of the orchards, which takes about 45 mins, is $20 pp. Graeme C More

We were headed back to Auckland via a round about direction. We have to admit that Kiwi 360 was not high on visit list but it so happen we need a driving break and we said why not. We were pleasantly surprised by the tour of the orchard and the information about growing kiwis. The trolly, well there kiwi shaped... More

I was pretty cynical about visiting a Kiwifruit-based attraction but, I have to admit, it was quite enjoyable and informative. The kids liked the kiwi shaped trolley cars and the guide was extremely knowledgable. I will never pour scorn on a fruit-based attraction again!

Hi DW73 Thanks for your comments. Many visitors have the same experience as you. I guess when we underline the nutritional and health giving status of KF and describe the globally unique conditions we enjoy here, it does come as a surprise to most, But thanks for overcoming your initial cynicism, and bringing your family for a visit! Cheers Graeme... More

I was looking forward to this tour as I have never seen kiwi fruit growing. It was a fun and informative tour. We got to go under the vines and look up at the kiwis. They grow similarly to grapes but are so big! Very interesting. Later we went into the shop to taste the different kiwis as well as... More

We visited Kiwi 360 yesterday after my husband had said how great it was when he visited years ago. The big Kiwifruit you can climb is good but the inside is rather boring - no facts about Kiwifruit, no pictures, just wooden planks. We went inside and decided to have a look around before going on a tour. The outside... More

Hi LMHoran We are sorry you felt the need to make your comments. Let me clarify some relevant points for you: 1 The four-storey high giant Kiwi slice is an icon, which has a lookout platform at the top, which is accessed by internal stair cases to each floor. Inside the kiwi slice, it is not a gallery, or a... More

Our tour of Kiwi 360 was both fun and informative!! Our tour guide had been at the facility for a long time and could answer every question we had. We toured on a cart with only 4 of us and we saw the orchids full of the different varieties of Kiwi's. From the flowers to the end product, told of... More
