Visited for the first time! The children had a fabulous (half) day but to be fair would have stayed longer. Lots of animals including a trillion parrots ;-) these include beautiful young reindeer, otters, reptiles, tortoises, meerkats, emu, soon to be walk through wallabys plus some odd animals I forget the name of!! Fair to say our expectations ahead of the visit were low but we were actually very impressed. Very clean and well organised operation. A lot more variety than the name suggests. Would certainly recommend this for anyone in the area with kids to entertain for either a morning or afternoon. We followed it up with a trip to boston soft... More

We visited here today with our great neice aged 14 years. We all found it really interesting, very clean, well signed and helpful staff. Despite the drizzling rain the whole afternoon it didn't hamper the visit. Feeding the parrots was an experience and Caitlyn even managed to get her aunt into the free enclosure, although she wouldn't allow one of... More

Thought that this was going to be a really rubbish place to visit and that we would be round it and out within an hour, how wrong was I. It was brilliant, children loved the aviary that you can go in with the parrots and we spent at least an hour in there alone, The parrots will land on you... More

Been here a few times now. I have to say I preferred it before the alterations, it is still lovely but it seems to have lost something along the way. Loved the aviary and the chance to get up close to the birds, but once again I preferred the old one. However, I will be returning here again in the... More

Visited here with my two sons of three and five. They really enjoyed the fact that they could feed pretty much every bird here. My son has a fear f flying things and this face him a chance to gain confidence with birds. He was soon feeding them all himself with guidance from my self. The birds were chatty and... More

Really enjoyed our trip here. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. All the birds seem to be well looked after. It was also good to see some other animals such as the meerkats (including babies) and reindeer. Coming soon will be the wallabies. We will definitely go back to the parrot zoo.
