It is a sad fact that so many of todays society sees pets as a throw away item. Pet shops selling meerkats to folks with no garden or clue as to the animals needs. The same selling parrots with the attitude that if you can afford it then good luck to you! Then reallity bites, quite literally some times. Your... More

If you know the tiniest bit on birds you'll notice how overcrowded, dirty & in for profit this place is. Do not support them, it's a sad sight

i went along to view the facilities for potentially sending my african grey parrot for sanctuary, however what i saw didnt please me much, the greys were in an enclosure fairly exposed to all the elements which worries me as some of them were not very well feathered, obviously i would assume these were once someones pets that had also been sent... This place is doing an amazing job. It's reasonable prized and the animals are well looked after. Went into the walk about Aviary and was instantly covered in Parrots. we got to feed them and they were quite happy to interact with us for a good couple of hours. They have good cover and can easily stay away from the... More

Been here a couple of times and enjoyed our visit. Make sure you use your Sat Nav because it's of the beaten track a little and the roads are not the best to travel on. There's plenty to look at on arrival and you can purchase a bag of peanuts to feed the parrots with. Probably the best part is... More

On holiday in the area so decided to go. We all had a great time. My son loved feeding the parrots. My mum thought it was great that some of the parrots said 'hello'. The walk in aviary was great. Birds would just land on you to say hello. The 'did you know' bourds were good and fun facts about... More

We spent an hour here during our half term break and my 7 year old loved the fact that some of the birds say "Hello" to you as you approach them. There is a vast range of parrots, other birds and a few random mammals. I believe they are all rescued animals which goes to show how many people in... More

We visited with my 7 year old son, who loves nature, and was really looking forward to seeing all the parrots. We had a fabulous time, loved feeding the birds peanuts and reading the information about the different species. The highlight of the visit was the walk through aviary, where there was an amazing variety of birds. One of the... More

Really enjoyed afternoon here. Plenty of birds to see as well as other animals, the otters were my favourite. I also think the walk in aviary is a good thing to have too and the birds were really friendly and gentle. Will most likely go again at some point next year.
