The zoo is in a fairly isolated spot close to Skegness from where there is a regular bus service. the zoo caters for unwanted or abused pet birds the boast that they never turn away a bird. Parking is excellent and there is good buggy/wheelchair access via a long and gentle ramp whithin the centre the paths are well paved... More

Amazing time at the parrot zoo, was great seeing so many parrots together but a shame also knowing so many were unwanted pets. the walk in avairy was our favourite part. getting up close to so many beautiful birds, i would advise getting there early to go into the avairy because by the afternoon the birds were full so there... Visited today with a 2 year old and a 7 month old along with my husband and mom and dad. We ALL loved it. It's fab from start to finish. You can buy food from the front ticket desk to feed the animals on the way round (get double of everything it's awesome feeding them) we got monkey nuts for... More

The birds are really great fun and obviously very well cared for. Lots of them can talk and that just amazes the children. The walk through enclosure is superb and we have some great photos and video. Highly recommend a visit.

i have visited this place about 5 times now, and each time i go i am there for hours. i love this place, and i believe the animals are very happy there. yes some of the parrots have lost feathers due to plucking themselves, but if you read all the notices around the place you will understand why some birds... We were worried that there wouldn't be much to do but thought the low price wasn't much to lose but we were wrong! Its not a big place but there are a lot of parrots all of which are fascinating so you find yourself spending hours here. The signs are very educational in terms of the species origins but also... My wife and I love parrots and own and love our own so we decided to visit this sanctuary to see the work done to help those pets who are less fortunate. It was frankly very sad and I think requires the attention of the RSPCA. The cages were overcrowded and disgusting. How do the plucked birds survive the winter?... More

This place is wonderful and worth the money to go in. I took my 2 year old with myself and my husband and we all enjoyed ourselves. They have little cars to hire which was such entertainment for my son, the parrots are beautiful and well looked after, enjoyed feeding them and getting talked to by them, especially the parrot... We came across the parrot zoo as we searched for a new thing to visit with our children and we were not disappointed. You arrive in the middle of nowhere & walk into a scruffy looking entrance, but then you emerge into a world of colourful rescued parrots. Read the history of how the zoo came about and you become...
